What is the best security system for E60 ?

I don't trust tracking system... I rather install immobiliser... normally they will point a gun or put parang on your nect, demanding for the car.. no point risking your life fighting over the car.
Just let them drive the car away.. but they don't know that the car is equipped with immobiliser... after a safe distance, the car will shut down immediately and they can't re-start no matter what... u can run away to safety... and call police... then retrieve your car... my point of view...

thule but do u know tat if some1 drive E60 been targetted (say tat E60 got immobilizer)n the car kena hijack as simple as tat without having the owner together in the car then tis thugs must be 1st time on hijacking such car without surveying n they thought they can pull off as easy as ABC. now a day thugs damn SMART + high IQ. wan hijack, they hijack the owner together wit the car n hp so tat the owner wont have time to respond le, haha. i got two sg friend kena in jb n tat is how they been given terror ride. they don even have help to flag down....anyway im not debating, just sharing. hehe...in conclusion additional system is ALWAYS better then nothing. who know if ur in luck tat those thugs reali idiot o ass dumber who hijack ur car without those knowledge, so u got very good chance to recover back ur car

haha....its all depends on the hijackers. Some car jackers just stab you first before asking for keys or slaughter you first for more severe case. For my case last year, the carjecker just demand my key with a knife on my stomach without asking for wallet or phone. They just wan the car but let me remind you all, anything can happen to you if you get carjacked. Just bear in mind do not argue with them or raise your tone. Just give watever they want and save your own life first.

I seldom go out late at night nowadays... I only go to those places that I am familiar with... occasionally feeling a bit adventurous when looking for food... but mostly in the afternoon... I always look around while driving (alert).

The E60 was equipted with original BMW DWA alarm and satelite tracking system,
if i am not mistake..,
maybe the dealer replace it with different version?

better install the advanced camera equipted alarm and together with satelite tracking system,

i suspect most of the car hi-jacker/car thief had the dealer equipment (GT-1/...???),
they can immediately program the car once it was hijacked/stolen???,
to disable or override OEM security system...

OTHER nasty thing could happend beside stealling the car, they can pump ACID/water into your EXHAUST!!, jack-up your suspension parts (steering end rod, lower arm), punch your engine crank-case until oil leak, try to crack open the HOOD (maybe try to put nasty shit in to engine), cut tyre, release air pressure from tyre, cut the belting,

they are real-real nasty shit !!!!!!!!

i had the picture of all these thing happend..., cannot report police, cannot claim insurrance..,
no witness, no point who did it, no idea..????
