just wonder how hotbits performace part perform? does any one use before their peformance part? cause saw they have a lot of performance part for bmw old skool model such as suspension, spring, extractor, muffler, strut bar...

The boss drives a year 97 E39 with Hartge 19" rims & 3.6L Straight Six. Believe it or not he managed to sold for 100k, 10 years old car.

And he got a new toy, Fairlady Z new car from Nissan 400k++

Hotbits is an australian company, quite well known n quite affordable in malaysian market. they have suspension solution for wide range of vehicles even for proton n perodua cars. Speedwork in PJ is one of their distributor in malaysia, i think.
As for UDM, i'm not sure myself. anyone care 2 comment?

i think most of the parts is done in Malaysia. Few years back, i visited my friends factory in puchong, he was doing the chroming parts for Speedworks with the Hotbits logo on it. Mostly exhaust system & tower bars.:listen::listen:

quite a number of forumers are using the Hotbits suspension systems..

I have not seen "warp" spring before in my life..... except Hotbits, not one, but many. If anybody were to complain their spring has problem, u'll be more than 90% if ur guess its Hotbits.. :p

I would avoid the brand... just personal opinion.. I rather stick to the chop shop "imports".. :D if u running a tight budget hobby... :p

Hotbits & AXT both are bought over by the Speedworks boss, Toh.

Zenden is doing that I think. Mostly for local cars. Proton R3 & Hyundai SIME-Darby sourced some of their parts from Speedworks too.
Hotbits factory, behind Speedworks PJ, helps a renowned Europe Mercedes tuner to manufactures Extractor for 5.5 V8 Kompressor. Something like sub work la.
I compared the mat salleh's work and the local fella's, not even close :stupid:

Yes you got a point there.. Spring squeaking sound very irritating on my Waja.
That's why I skip Hotbits for my UDM, and go for Bilstein B8 + oem M-Sport spring although I could have get myself a Height Adjustable Hotbits absorbers.

Hot Bit Suspension Are made in Malaysia. The factory is just next to his shop. Dont waste time with the suspesion.

New set of Hotbits suspension system is alright as the workers get higher commission each set they produced, but for overhauling then you will have a hard time waiting or even get a lousy job. Boss pay low commission because price for overhauling is cheap at 80 per absorber compared to 2k++ for a new set.

eh isaacvky! your figures are abit the exaggerated la. i was about to buy the car from the boss that time, and he offered a price of 90k. the staff told me that's the final price he sold it off later, its 90k and not 100k. that car is a 3.4l not 3.6l la. but happy i didn't get that car, was scare i cant get spare parts for the engine and i think that car got some underlaying problem, i tested the car before, its got a slighly better kick compared to my 530i but somehow it seems abit underpowered for a 3.4l, i check with one of the worker and he told me the car is not running fully on a 3.4l kit i wonder what he meant??? anyway, i heard from a friend that the new onwer is now selling the car for 150k, 60k inflation :stupid:

hotbits is a local company but they are good stuff, better engineered than any other local brand like titan or hwl. they are not so good for jap cars maybe because of the softer body but its doing a great job on my bmw. the previous bilstein yellow and eibach combination is far from the performance and comfort i get from the hotbits.

k...thanks every one for the info.just want to know more cause my friend fix hotbits coilover at his camry he claim that handling, conering is much more better than tein.

Ok boss its number errors
Before my E39 530i, I checked with the staff which is also my ex colleagues.. He wanted to let go for 100k!
The car is using a K&N Injection Kit, an open pod air filter that may contribute to that underpower too. Not full 3.4L = not 3400cc but 3359cc ?

Hotbits suspension lean to hard setup compared to HWL in most case.
Quite stiff on my Waja but yes as you said should be fine on heavy car.

i think tthey say the car only have the 3.4l engine internal parts but not with any of the accompanying parts like higher performances camshaft, maf sensor and complete full package tuning like those mention on the hiop website, so that is the reason its not performing what it should be.

aiya..try not to compare a japanese car or a lousy proton with a conti la. the conti bmw chasis is much stiffer and build quality is so much better, you seldom hear any rattling even on a 10 year old bmw bbut you can hear plenty even on a day old plotong. i was sceptical at first to install it on my e39 and then the e60 but having given a try on the set, it performs really well and its well balance for performance and comfort. i was using bilstein and eibach on both cars and they are chage to hotbits coilover now and thy perform so much better even. i check titan and hwl before, the have no technical record or the setting of what to use for our car so they will just try this and that. i heard one very nice e30 with titan suspension overturn because of wrong setting.

Jz bcos it's a m'sian made or own by a m'sian company doesnt mean its inferior in any way. We should give 'em d benefit of doubt as they regularly featured in performance mods magazine and 4sure if hotbits is dat bad, in terms of product performance and quality we deftnly would hv heard it long time ago as their readers is as fanatics as us. Malaysia Boleh!!! :)

Im fedup with the frequent leaking of the absorber and that's why I decided to skip hotbits in the future

hotbits is an old malaysian tuner name n long time player in this scene ( even to singapore ). to claim its origin is from australia is......furthest from truth.

Anyhow, AXT is from australia and he is marketing their stuff but also K&N and others but that dun make him an australian or us company.

on his hotbit badged products.....Malaysian boleh, so u go figure if its good or not. U drive a bimmer rite?
