volt stabalizer and grounding wire for e46?

actually i be getting one stabilizer thingy over the weekend.
why... my bulbs getting blown..... voltage fluxing lerr... prob get one display as well.... ...... other than that reason... i also gatal... hahahahah!

I don't think it work a damn thing. I intsalled 2 unit. One at the engine bay and the other near the battery.

bro, if your bulb blow, first check what is the output voltage from the alternator. They should be around 13.2 to 14.5 VDC. Any thing more will caused your bulb and other equipment to malfunction prematurely.

If you have over voltage problem, putting a voltage stabilizer will not solve your problem. As the name imply, it stabilized the voltage. You need a voltage regulator. A voltage regulator will regulate your voltage. Basically a regulator will output a constant voltage when the input voltage varies. say a 12 V regulator will output 12 VDC when the input voltage varies from 12 to 18 VDC. if the input voltage falls below 12 VDC, the output voltage will follow the input voltage. But putting various size capacitor, you can reduce the ripple voltage in order to get better stabilty.

so a voltage stabilzer would stablized your voltage to 17 VDC if your alternator output 17 to 17.5 VDC.

So check your voltage regulator.. first.

Yup ... you are quite right on the regulator. Thanks for the advice. I checked the Voltage over last weekend and shows roughtly around 13.5V like that. I suspect that my alternator is acting up hence the power fluxs, and most likely the regulator may be dying.

Getting the stabilizer and voltage monitor is just a way to see what's going on hence the itchness loh. Besides that I am using the wrong voltage for the bulbs... maybe that contributes too..

i ve been using both volt stabiliser and grounding wire 11 mm for my e36.. it may treat the itchyness, some improvement here and there but fuel wise nothing ler bro... still running rm25.6 for 100km in city driving... ke keh
