V50 Turbo smoked E90 325i!

Its Torquier than E90 325i

In fact my E270 CDi smoked E60 530i, W220 S280 & V220 S350 on highway. It manage to go uphill (PLUS- Simpang Pulai strech) at 220km/h.

dont be disheartened guys!
dont forget this important factor which y'all seem to hav forgotten!
1)the V50 isnt naturaly aspirated!its a turbocharged unit which will propel thm to faster speeds in no time!
2)the e90 IS naturally aspirated and thus very impressive given its lack of a turbocharged unit!

so,dont worry mah....our udm's cant b fast all the time!
once,i lost out to a kancil L 500 turbo,how do u think i felt then?

Reminds me of the time I kena smoked by the 850 T5 while I was then driving a friend's E38 740iL. I won't be disheartened lah cos straight line pick up and cornering abilities are different matters altogether. If you close the route from Batu Caves - Ulu Yam - Goh Tong Jaya and bring all 3 cars, I can assure you that the E90 will reach the final destination much earlier with a more satisfied driver who's thoroughly enjoyed greater speeds and precisions thru bends and sweepers than the sad fella who had to lug a v50 T5's fat arse. Since my Honda days, I've always enjoyed a car that pulls through higher rpms with sensation. The turbos dun give ya that, like ejaculation without foreplay. The linearity of BMW's engines and improved spread of torque from lower rpms, that's the full treatment!!

if its a road test by pros guided by special instruments i'd probably be fine with it.
logically the e90 325i has got 218bhp lightweight engine with a 6sp gbox armed with valvetronic and double vanos magnesium aluminium engine plus the best rwd chassis ever for a sports saloon.
compare that with a volvo stationwagon! no doubt it has got a 5potter turbo engine but thats about it.though the chassis is actually from a focus but its nowhere near a rwd bimmer 3 bro!!
dunno bout u guys but gimme the 3 anytime and i'll blow the volvo away to kingdom come!!!! :yes!:

i dont think the V50 Turbo can smoke the E60 530d, i drove the 530d in Italy and guess what it smoked the Porsche Boxster... with more than 500Nm torque on the 530d try to beat that...V50 Turbo will have problems even trying to kiss its a**.

:yes!: Last month when i was on the way up to Alor Setar, a Benz C-class 230K Stick on my tail and keep flashing lights to over take me. I let him past me then i keep up to his tail, noticed that is the 230K, i know the car has much HP as my 325i. So i decide to take a try to see how fast that 230k can run up to. After i let him past me up, then i drive with full throttle and sticking up his tail and slowly over take him. After about 5 Kilometer, i have to make left turn to exit the Highway. The 230K guy past me with his thump up My second victory. First the Alteza and now the Benz-Class 230K. But for the V50, i guess my stock bimmer stand no chance with it.

watch out for the new merc S600 on the highway my unlce lost to him on straight line speed in his e36M3 , then again the merc has 500bhp and 800Nm.

h34r: S600 has V12 engine rite? How to compare? Not even the E46 M3 also cannot match with it. (i guess only) :huh:
But the E60 M5 can easily kick the S600 ass anytime. :nyehehe: But sadly non of the member in our club has E60 M5 yet. (i guess again) :huh:

eleh, v50 220hp. i just use wiralution to smoke all ur conti cars. come on lah, don't compare forced induction n na. m5 v10 excluded.

if u wanna talk about forced induction, japanese cars rule. talk about na, bmw rules. merc, if no supercharger, all lembab mcm proton juara. merc only good with their muscle cars.

also, it also depends on how brave the driver is. i bet any stock standard 325 can go head to head with v50. but then, na n forced induction. where got road.......

also, wanna play v50 with altezza? heheh..... altezza na loh, 2.0 liter only.

:wink: Wow! the Alteza has 200hp more and less leh. no joke man :dunno: But still...it got smoked by my bimmer. But sometimes wonder why those car has more hp than my car and they doesn't seem very fast enough. Saw their exshaust flash with spark and full throttle, but why they still can't break me off? or over past me?

How can compare NA to FI engine cars? It's 2 totally different story. V50 remove the turbo sure will loose to 325. 325 install a turbo also sure will smoke the V50.

BMW == higher engine compression == more power
VOLVO == low compression == turbo == more power

TC/SC engines need lower compression coz there is an external forced induction. High compression + TC + high boost = 3 days time prepare to REPLACE new engine/recipe for disaster.
