Hi Bro,I wonder r there anyone did any tunning on their 520d already ? I heard that BMW offer an original performance kit for the 320d, are there any offer for the F10 520d??

At first, it was only available for the manual gearbox F10 520d. Now it's available for auto as well, but not available in Malaysia currently because of fuel quality.

Damn, was looking foward for that, thats mean vector / dtuk / ecu remap only option to go

But how come E90 320d gets it??? the power kit really worth the money la...

I was told this month will out. Tuning box, bigger intercooler and fan. Price? Not sure! Hartge is not bad as well. The tune work for Malaysia Bloody Euro 2, just not in full.

Anyone heard anything, please update here ya!

well from what paul said i realy doubt it i will arrive in malaysia soon. but there are alternative .

Bro Docrayboy and WUK51 are on these Vector. Try to search the post by WUK51 on the power/torque values.

Few options available...can oso try DTUK.... :) . DaTUK user here many oso.. including a F10 520d...hehhee.. :) but the fact is, d engine has plenty of potential thats for sure.. :) i wonder how Power Kitted + DTUK + Pedal box feels like.. :) hhmnn...

Figure for 520d based on on-wheel dyno - power = 200bhp and torque = 479Nm. Factoring the average 12.5% loss in transmission/frictional loss, Engine output = 228.6bhp and Torque = 547Nm !!!! E60 M5 Torque = 520Nm.

i believe those figures are close to engine output. the dyno machine can reports engine power figures with a factor. don't read the final numbers but the increment in %.

example, stock 370Nm, after about 465Nm. so 25.6% increase for torque and 15.6% for horsepower.

Willie, i'm on DTUK. I am initially worried about GB too.. but hearing that the ZF is also used on other more powerfull siblings, i am relieved. But bear in mind that the TRQ is experienced whenever there is resistance to turn the rear wheel and maximum engine rev.

So meaning if i dont launch the car, do not throttle max the car from stand still with max load, and do not do towing , my GB technically should not experience the maximum TRQ...

DTUK also has different settings with different maps. Tune it down to a more reasonable setting and you should be ok while still getting a nice boost in performance.

Anyone use a Racechip tuning box in their 520d? I have tried in my Hilux 2.5 and it is good value for money. Certainly boost the power and improve the pickup. Even improve FC for HW driving at slightly above legal speed.

bro kht,

if u really want to go for RaceChip, pls get the RaceChip 'Pro' cos your F10 ECU is smarter and more demanding that your work horse Hilux. otherwise, u can give Vector a try since it is proven on dyno.
