transmission conversion???

hi...just wondering if there is anybody doing a transmission conversion before?it just me....wondering what else that we need beside of the gearbox itself....do we need to change the wiring also?or computer box?

what sort of conversion? auto 4 speed to auto 5 speed, auto to manual, auto to SMG, manual to straight cut, manual to auto, SMG to auto, SMG to manual???

rare?ehmm...yeah...but...i just want to know how hard to do this conversion....just thinking if its not to hard la...then smg is an option...still manual...but no clutch....just my 2 cent idea la....any suggestion?

in this case ...why dont u sell ur existing drive n buy another smg version.....Less headached .........

Convert to smg is not cheap n easy....

auxora...urs ir 3xx??e46 or e36?i lurve manual tranny...but sumtime....wen stuck in traffic...ehhmmm....i know smg conversion is not a cheap option....but still want to know wat part do i need to complete this conversion beside smg gearbox........selll my car??ehhmmm...i cant sell it after 2 years...so,stick to this car n do wat ever i can while i do have another 1 1/2 years with it....

mine is a 330ci but i feel that the gearbox is really slushy. Tends to shift when I need the high gears. It makes the car feels really sluggish and not responsive.

auxora...urs is smg ke?if i not mistaken...for smg tranny in coupe...there is only 330ci have it....so,urs is smg or steptronic?how come ur gearbox not responsive...i never feel down with mine...except the pick up....i think lame....

haha....i wish i was using the SMG. It would be much much better than my slushybox. I am using the Steptronic which imho i think its quite bad.

But I suspect it also could be a faulty gas pedal. I think I should have it checked out as there was once the pedal had no response whatsoever.

Anyway anyone has feedback on how much would a tranny conversion would cost and how reliable it would be?

ehmmm...so far no.....no feedback yet...maybe nobody yet doing this conversion b4??if it hard to make it real...ehhmmm..then,i need to wait for 1 1/2 years n sell it....

auxora...i think u need to check ur car as 330 shud deliver enuf power 4 u......tried 325 smg(yellowmellow)...ehmm...quite powderful.....
