Swap: Aluminium Hexagon for High Gloss Black Interior Trim

Testing the market...

I have a 2014 F10 528i LCI M-Sport, Carbon Black/Oyster with Aluminium Hexagon interior trim...but I think the High Gloss Black (standard spec for 520i currently) would look better with Oyster interior (and the Aluminium Hexagon looks better with Black interior.

Thus I'm exploring swapping my Aluminium Hexagon for the High Gloss Black (or other dark trims like Fineline Anthracite).

Trim is still in practically new condition...I just took delivery of my pre-reg event unit from AB with only 1k+ km...and would be looking to swap for similarly pristine condition trim....preferably from an LCI unit to ensure a straight swap in terms of fit.

Anybody interested...?

...on its own would prob agree aluminium is nicer, but definitely nicer in a black vs oyster interior.
...would show oyster-aluminium vs oyster-black pics but think I've busted my upload quota.
...any case, I've only had the car for 2 weeks, so still considering...

Possible swap options...
1. DIY...seen at least one 'how to' post on a U.S. forum...doors shld be fairly straightforward but centre console may be bit tricky
2. Accessory shop...did trim change before on a previous car at Eurotuner
...but just exploratory at this stage ya...more views like jackzf's might just sway me against doing it!!

No to the rim swap...but I may have my oem 18s available for sale soon...

It depends if you want to standardize your car or be individual. That's the reason BMW has a section called BMW Individual whereby the buyer gets to customize the car according to their preference and BMW will do it for them.

This can be from the paint, to the seats to the rims and yes.... including the interior trim! As highlighted, let me know when you are keen. Thanks and enjoy the ride!

Meantime, is yours LCI or pre-LCI?...cos I believe there may be some differences eg LCI i-drive looks different so the surrounding trim may be different too...but I'm still checking on this.

Just an update...

Having second thoughts about high gloss black...scratch/fingerprint magnet concerns...
Am also exploring a black carbon fibre wrap...would achieve my intended look but cost involved
Gonna give the aluminium hexagon a bit more time to see if it grows on me...

No definite timeframe...so will post back here once I eventually make a decision.

I don't think you can carbon fibre wrap it as your aluminium set is not a smooth surface.

Saw the CF set in the M5,looks good and expensive. Even the gear shift was CF.
