Dropped my car off at AB sg besi earlier this morning for inspection II (pain anticipated). Checked out the new CKD E90 320i, 325i and 320i SE. Some things I noticd about he 325i are 1) Car comes shod with 17" BUT only 225 wide tyres all round unlike the 245 rears for the CBU2) Car sits higher than the CBU E90 325i coupled with its skinny tyres and shallow rim offset makes it looks like a duck on stilts from the rear3) Beige/cream interior with brushed aluminium trims (not bad)4) CSC2 tyres all round5) Paintwork doesnt look as good as the CBU paint.6) The 17" rims are quite ugly based on my taste. Prefer the CBU design. No major specs upgrade to the CBU batch from what I could tell with my eye. Bottom line is that CBU E90 325i owners got a better deal seeing that some of these units were flogged off just below RM300k new. CKD 320i SE gets beige interior with walnut trims and 17" wheels as well (225 only). Still has the same problem with skinny rear tyres and shallow rim offset and high ride height. Also NO M bodykit, which is kinda odd for an "SE" spec classification BMW Malaysia should learn from CBU units and spec up the E90 3 as good looking or even better than the CBU. Sigh.. What will be nice to see is 18"s in staggered setup and sports suspension (ala CBU 330i lookalike) for the 325i.
