it wouldnt crank like normally but the car so far is starting but i was told that it would die soon according to two mechanics. i was quoted for about 400-500 for a recondition starter. im just fishing if i could find a cheaper alternative.

it sounds as if the battery is low and sometimes it takes a couple of times to start and also does anyone has this interior door opener? like in the picture. my front passenger side flimsy already.

bro, i suggest to buy new, buy original or source from Half cuts, better quality... the shops now sells them for RM25 i think, from RM15 five years ago..

i have the driver side only, my last.. yours is left side..

If still got cranking sound don't think it's starter, could be fuel pump or weak battery. If starter problem normally no cranking at all. As temporary solution when encountered this problem use a wood or something non metal object to knock on the starter to crank the ignition. Prefer not to use metal object as you certainly don't want to accidentally contact the attaching screws etc which may cause shorting. Alternatively may use a wire to tap the starter to the battery + terminal to crank it (ignition turn to On)
