Shah Alam Tyres & Auto Accessories Sdn Bhd

If you're in Shah Alam, You can look for Jeff Liow (012 9820 693) This Tyre shop has plenty new and used rims (Original and OEM available). They are very professional with rims and tyres.

why are you changing the width of the tyres? for good looks?

the height of the both tyres will be different. so i suspect you might have a tilted look.

wide tyres looks awesome from behind.

Will give them a ring Calvin.

Just wondering if you have done this ->

front - stock wheels / stock tyres
rear - stock wheels / wider tyres ?

Rear set Original Size 225/45 R18
Wheel Diameter 18"
Thread Width 225 mm
Sidewall 101.25 mm
Diameter 660 mm

If change rear set to 255/40R18

Sidewall: 102 mm
Diameter :661.2000 mm
Difference :0.74%

Any comments / advice from Sifu ?

Update : The rims that come stock with the 328i Sportline are Double Spoke Style 397 - 18" 18x8, which apparently DONT support 255/40s... So if some of you (gatal like me ) want to change the rear tires to something wider, looks like we need to change the rims as well.. you need 18 x 8.5 inch at least for 255/40

Hey bro you just answered your own question. Yours come with 8J width all around, need to change rims first. Best to get minimum 8.5j or wider staggered rims..... :)

wow stock rims from 328i came with 8j rims all around?
next up,staggered wider rims (e.g 8.5 front 9.5 rears)

Wow good to know that the 328i doesn't come with the staggered setup nor does it enable it thanks to the stock rims. I wonder if the M Sport version will be staggered.

Wider rears FTW! But please make sure the diameter is within 1% of the stock wheel size to minimize issues.

The rule is within 3% of the overall dimension

Yeah...but the closer to zero the better. When I upsized mine, it was 0.04% for the rear and 0.44% for the front.

Yes bro.. as mentioned in my post. Need to budget for new set.

I've been looking around for rim/tyre plus sizing calculator too until one day I noticed on the drive side either B-pillar or maybe c-pillar, there is a sticker on the body, tyre pressure recommendation based on the proper plus sizes.

This should give you a good direction on what's the right size to go with staggered rims.

Good to know bro, not good that it doesn't come with staggered setup. Almost made a mistake recommending tyres to my friend haha! Recommended a staggered setup set of tyres.
