Hey Guys,
I have just bought an e36, 1999 model but was only given 1 set of key and remote control unit. I would like to make a spare for both so any idea where this could be done and what would the damage be??

just did it yesterday in Auto Bavaria Segambut...mine's for year 1996...only rm310...they need your IC and car reg card copy...would take just a few days to process. gd luck!

btw the price is just for full working key with EWS...remote different price i guess

Cheaper than a Myvi key. The key is make on the spot or from German?

Key is posted from AB's authorised stockist in Johor - i think it was made there. If there's no stock in Johor, they gotta import from Germany....well, thats kinda what they told me

Hmmmm... i think i am famous in BMW key now until got someone asking me about the key which not BMW Key. I only doing BMW key for BMWCM member only not yet open for public. Not yet move to make Honda car key yet. Might think of Merc and Toyota car key first.

actually for e36 non-remote key, all you need is a locksmith who does key duplication by the old school machinery grinding way will do.
important thing is that they must carry the key blank (usually european made, unlike typical jap car keys)
not sure how much it cost in MY but i paid SGD50 for mine here in singapore

E36 is using EWS1 and EWS2

My machine not able to make for EWS1.

This 100% no problem at all.

The first EWS used by e36 is EWS1. It is looking like a matches box. Only special locksmith having this tool to make this key. If not able to find the locksmith which able to do the key for EWS1 then u have to back to AB.

key without chip is rm55 only. made in melawati. juz another key duplicating shop...
