Friend, have you o to the M track day:rock:~??? did't saw any new about the BMW X6, but I know that the BW M3 sedan is on sales now:rock:~!!!

saw the x6 today. quite nice looking.. still looks conceptual, and controversial from some angles..

quite difficult to judge whether it'd be nice on the road or not since it was in a 'lounge'.. but with 3litre twin turbo, shud easily match cayenne s.. and with variable front and rear diff, shud be a very good handling SUV.. good alternative to e90 more than e60.. perfect as the size is between the two! :top:

It is supposed to be a lifestyle car. Not an SUV. Rear passenger's headroom is poor. Boot space also poor. The best place to be in an X6 is the front seat. Those who buy X6 are not looking for a Cayenne or X5 alternatives. This is a tall 6 series, but not at tall as X5.

yeah.. my mistake on the SUV part.. high seating position, with 4wd, and the 'X' series prefix, i just conclude ignorantly that it was an suv.. i know it's more of a novelty car than anything else.. much like merc CLS, or the x3.. neither here nor there type of car.. with 2+2 seater, quite funny for a high seated car, sporty car type of 0-100 performance.. just something new i guess..

i think that the hatchback style boot is a bit impractical.. if it doesn't already, it shud have auto-close from the key.. my petite wife for sure can't reach to close the boot, or even press the 'close button' at the edge of the boot to close it automatically.. i've no complaint on the boot size, looks decent to me.. you are right, passenger seats are a bit cramped, moreover with the sloped roofline.. just like cls and 6-series..

anyways, they are only 'launching' the x6 at the end of the year.. just waiting to test drive one before can really comment..

I saw one in Melbourne Motorshow last February. It was a maroon X6 with beige interior. It was huge, really huge. If you think an X5 is already big, this one is even bigger. The engine variant that was offered was the 3.0L version. I think it was the same unit as the 635i. Price tag was AUD111K for a base model. I was told that the car will arrive sometime in September. Actually, I was expecting a hybrid version. Maybe next year.

there are plenty of x6 on dubai troads since it was first 2 months ago, the ones i saw are driven by ladies...
