I got mine directly from the US, got my friends to hunt for me for over one year. Brand new was selling for USD9300 as specified by Panerai.

U can get quite exclusive models from Pacific Time at Sg Wang. Prices are better as they are parallel importers, thus they can give better discounts. All units are with certs, they are having a limited edition Reggata model (donno which year) on sale now.

Yup, they were the one got robbed last month.
With the amount of high grade replicas flooding the market, the real thing is hard to differentiate to a fake one. Even the packaging, box, etc are almost identical. How do you tell if you bought a fake instead of the real thing if say its obtained from a non authorized dealer or even over the Internet?

Just to add to the above, do the same verification with Panerai directly even if you buy from Sincere, you cant be too sure. :nyehehe: :nyehehe: :nyehehe:

Opinion please. Me still new to watches. Looking to get another watch.

Breitling vs Panerai?

me don't claim to have much if any knowledge on watches... the little i know all hear from someone who collects rolexes... depending on the purpose, i think both also tarak ngam mr alvin purely from styling perspective, in my opinion... breitling, look at those things can a bit pening... panerai, acquired taste and they're a bit big, unless mr alvin likes them big...

Let me know which breitling model you looking at... will try to get some opinion... those people hardcore collect watches like you modding car... everytime masuk kedai blow tens of thousand...

Breitling vs Panerai?
Bro... to each his own taste. As the saying goes, one man's meat is another's poison.

Panerais started using Rolex movements, and they really took off as the main watch designer for the Italian Army. Brietlings are historically linked to the aeronautical industry, thus the main diff in the looks and the functionalities of the 2 models.

I prefer Panerais over Brietlings. Finds some Brietling models have way too much info to read from, and thats detracts the main purpose of getting a watch. As I am not a pilot, i dont have need to read barometer or tachymeter and what have u nots on the Brietling. Just tell me the time, accurately with very little maintance required.

Dont get me wrong, Brietling lovers, the watches are beautiful, with many dials, color schemes and markings. I prefer the more simple designs of the Bentley collection than the Navitimer or Montbrilliant collections.

My preferred Brietling set if i do get my hands on them: Emergency (can spot u miles at sea with its "beacon" thinghy, damn cool), or the B-1. They have a cleaner dials, and has cool digital readouts too.

I simply prefer Panerais as they are big but with simple readable face and dials, 47mm dials, with another 5mm of casing = 2 inches CLOCK!! But Brietlings are as big too.

Hope that you find watches as an interesting collection, as like you and yr cars.

When did the Daytona become "ah beng". You can't be serious. The date just Steel & gold models in boys size maybe but the Daytona, ah beng?? The Daytonas are the most understated Rolexes around.
What about the Sea-dweller?

haha

got my panerai last week as a graduation gift from dad! and also in exchange with AP royal oak jumbo which i recieved as a gift from dad's friend for graduation

so, cant say which to prefer, as i have both.. both also i like, rolex explorer 2 and my newly acquire panerai

Navitimers are classic breitlings.... whether you get the leather strap or the steel bracelet will be a matter of preference. I would go with the leather strap (black) although the steel bracelet would be more practical for rougher use.... your sweat will kill the strap. Or you could get both and switch whenever

They are also different enough from the usual Rolex, TAG crowd if that is also what you are after. If you can spring the moolah, look for the limited editions, there should be some around at the specialist shops.

Perhaps an even more important consideration is whether petaling street has done the watch you desire (I know the breitling emergency has been done alreadY). Avoid those models if you can. There are so many floating about nowadays and they are getting better down to the automatic movement, the sound it makes when you shake it in your hand, and the feel in your hand (weight etc).

Panerai vs. Breitling? I'm biased here so it will have to be Breitling :)

BUT, that is not to say there is nothing to like about the panerai. Fantastic watches.... chunky, masculine clunky cool you know what i mean..... but when 5201 wears them they are just CLOCKS ekekekekekek :D
WOI...!!!

But i still love my wristCLOCKS!!!

One more reason to love Panerai over other brands, they ship with TWO straps and a teeny weeny screwdriver for u to change the straps. Standard shipping is the strap of you choice with the rubber diver straps, but you can top up to get a steel/rubber or steel/leather combo.

And Petaling Street have made Breitling Emergency!!!??? Really??? Interesting, may go there just to view them. But hey, Petaling Street quality, no matter how well they do them, are still way off the quality of the originals, esp for real watch lovers.
