Having a Rolex or Omega is RICH MAN? Then I am very sure 99% of the population in Malaysia is rich. I am sure almost every hosuehold in Malaysia can at least afford one Rolex or Omega. You are so kiddy!!
aiyoo  I just realise I belong to that 1% poor minority, cause I don't own (or rather honestly cannot afford) any of those watches

buy a rolex if you want, it is common knowledge that rolex has "status"
but buy a panerai for the passion and style. Its all hype
Most people, esp BMW owners, can afford to buy such watches but only common sense
may deter them from doing so.
Really, put on a rolex and then put on a panerai ( be it 40 or 44 , or even the 47 ( pam 127))
no comparison.once a panerai is on your wrist, and the size hits you, thats it.......you will not think of
a rolex again

The unauthorised dealer shop in Sg Wang is Pacific Time, and they were robbed few weeks back. The robbers took most of the Rolexes, and left the Panerais..... goes to show how much Rolexes are revered in MY.

I agree with Aaron, I got so used to the sized of the PAM, that I keep getting the bigger units. I started with PAM111 (pre-sandwich dials), to PAM90, and finally got myself a PAM127 ( :yahoo: ), the 47mm beast jewel in my collection now.

Still as the usual crowd, I started with Rolex, I got the GMT II and the green bezeled Submariner. Sadly, I no longer wear them after I got the PAMs.

So buying watches are like a passion, buy whichever model that tickles yr fancy and satisfies yr purchase reason. Not many ppl i know could differenciate the OPII and OPIX, or what 17 or 21 jewel stand for in a watch. So to each his own opinion.

Wow , you lucky devil....PAM 127!!
Whats the market price nowadays???US$10K???

For those of you that want size and hype( hype is this context is historical significance/desirability factor), check out the PAM 127 .

5201...why dont u post a pic of the 127 next to a Submariner...abit like a 6 series next to a mini

20% is very good off Panerai. Energy managed to only sqeeze 15% when he got his GMT last year from Sincere, and this week we went to Sincere KLCC and they are now giving only 10% of list. On top of that, you'd be lucky to get a nice model, as all nice 44mm ones are snapped up by collectors who are on a waiting list. The KLCC sincere has ~4 pieces of 40mm ones which are not so popular and a waiting list for 44mm models. Each month they take in about 10 pieces which gets snapped up through private placement and phone calls.

High demand stuff man... So much for adjusting our lifestyles advise by our PM heh.
20% discount? Where and who did you buy the Pam from?

When did the Daytona become "ah beng". You can't be serious. The date just Steel & gold models in boys size maybe but the Daytona, ah beng?? The Daytonas are the most understated Rolexes around.

Go for the 187........

Can you guys share how much off list you managed to get your PAMs for and from where/whom?

Thx

i only got 10% off from sincere, but since it was offered to me the moment i asked about it, i cdnt complain...no waiting list etc.( last minute cancellation)

Because mine is an entry model(pam 111) and a 44mm at that, the discount seems fair.I have however heard of much better discounts for the less-in-demand 40mm and the more expensive models.Mine was abt 14 or 15 k.

as for the Rolexes and Daytonas.....i wdnt agree with anyone who says they r "ah bengs" altho "cool, informed, trendies, wannabees" lifestyle types will never be seen dead wearing them....sort off old school, if u get the idea. They dont really make a statement anymore, except that u can afford it.

However , a rolex will always be a tradeable commodity anywhere in the world and it is timeless

Can someone post side by side pics pls....

PS , sorry to be long winded, but my fave now is the Hublot Big Bang in all white.just cant afford it.

Scin, i was just admiring the pics of yr e46( already the umpteenth time). I think i have acquired a 3 series bug, and am looking around for a conv 330, maybe.

or you can blow 200k on a Patek, an IWC Portugese and a AP Royal Oak

PAM 127 was at USD9+K. Loved the size of the watch 47mm, my frens calling it a clock.....

PAM127 vs Submariner..... the Sub looks and feels so puny next to the PAM, i remember wearing it one day, did not get use to the lightness of the Sub..... kept glancing at my wrist to check if its still there....
