Went and got the Road Tax for my dad's car and noticed that there's now an advertisement on the back of the RT Stickers. Here's a pic:

Guess I'll have to stick something over my Road Tax when I get it as I can't stand looking at an insurance ad all the time... :thefinger:

Next they will Start Campaning like "Undila Barisan Nasional"

I think JPJ is getting very commercialised. I accompanied my friend to JPJ Seberang Jaya for the registration of his Z4.

I was suprised that the car park(within JPJ's compound which is within its own grounds) required visitors who parked there to pay an hourly parking rate.

Then when we were looking for a toilet, we realised that the toilets were located some distance away from the main building and there was also a notice at the entry that visitors had to pay 30 sen.

I dont think government buildings should be charging for parking and toilets.

Is this common in other JPJ and governmeny departments?

Now you say they are advertising on the road tax discs. Is that permitted?

I have a cunning plan...

Hmmm... just wondering if we can buy space on the RT Stickers... That should result in a whole load of fun...

"BMW Club Malaysia - Join Now!" complete with our logo.

That should be enough to kacau the other car clubs.. :D :D :D

Charging money is unstoppable.

I always wonder why I pay for Astro and still get assaulted by all the commercials, and to add salt to injury, still need to pay further for Astro on demand.

Putting an ad at the back of the road tax is a new low though. Must think we are stoopid.

well, i wonder if there was an open tender or were other bidders invited to advertise or all nego malaysia boleh style...like everything else..i personally object to having ambank advertise in my car!! sorry, we dont have any rights..do we?

If my road tax sticker has it I am going to lodge an official complaint. I am not paying RM899 pa to advertise for some bank! This is absolutely ridiculous.

Anyonelse experience this on their road tax disc?

i will not advertise these 'legalised' money making loan sharks on my windscreen...as far as i am concerned i will not display the tax sticker....damn pissed of with everything now and this is the last straw!!!!!!!!

Let me guess.. the printer of the sticker must have made a proposal to the purchaser from JPJ.. :D to supply the sticker FOC... the advertiser bear the cost la... I wonder JPJ continue to make the same payment and the money travel one big round then dunno end up into who's pocket..

What a bad move for JPJ to make. Anyone want to take this up and highlight it to the press instead of cursing over here? Don't bother to highlight to the authorities la =\

I'll be renewing my wife's Waja's road tax soon. Let me see if I get the same sticker. If so I'll definitely take it up as the car is registered under my name.

Haha this is quite funny. Can you imagine the Maybank, RHB Bank, CIMB bank Cx0's cars having the AMBank advertisement staring at their faces in their cars?

At least you don't have to stare at that "Tan Ee Li Marry Me" dude on the sticker.
