RFT tyre? Alignment cost so much?

may i know when do we need to do alighment (included balancing as well) ? once a year? thanks

Same question as to when do u need to see doctor..

1. when the car doesn't feel right, steering pulling a side, doesn't recover after cornering, vibration... bla..bla..bla..

2. Unusual tyre wear... makan sebelah...

Some can't feel their body, so they do a periodic medical check up... that will be a balancing/alignment inspection job every 5k traveled.. and also a tyre rotation job at the same time.

That depends on how your steering feels after being stacked up against the poor quality of our roads! I would do it as soon as the steering irritates me cos it's not worth not enjoying the car every time you drive it.

i sure can tell la. the comfort, fun, speed and etc. it just sometimes i hold my steering quite tight. so i hardly tell la. but if serious problem sure i can tell la. those minor i cant hehehehehe again bimmer so quiet. sometimes cannot tell the noise outside. tats why lor ..... heheheheh

Normally, 15,000 - 20,000 have to notice the tyre and better do rotate and balance the tyre... coz the tyre very expansive really need to take care..... For alignment normally steering feel ok then no need to alignement lar.... keep some money ehehehee....

I called and ask sapura. They told me tat alignment cost RM300 ????? why? becoz of RFT ??

I don't think so they include for balancing ler..... normally all the job they dun is seperate count...

WRONG!!! Active Steering need to be align....

I have done my car E90 alignment numerous times with Hup Shun in Sunway, Speedline at Sunway Damansara and Hokomoto Racings at Batu Caves and all with no problem at all. I've never believe what Auto Bavaria or Sapura Auto claim that it requires special equipment/software to set the active steering after alignment of the car! I guess there is no such thing. It is the same alignment process and there is no special equipment/software to set the active steering after alignment job. Well... maybe I'm wrong but for my case it is proven no problem doing alignment at outside of Auto Bavaria or Sapura Auto.

you are so damn wrong... it really need a diagnostic scanner to align the active steering.. no lie.. i have seen it by myself while i visited this workshop in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam (one that near to McD with Bridgestone Shop sign).. he had shown me the steering angle is really out and align it back right in front of my eyes... Hup shun & Speedline?? haha... ignorance didn't means non-existence... and the charge for aligning back the active steering is only RM120... The owner/manager of the shop also proved to me that the front wheel camber is adjustable without doing any modification or pumping of knuckle (whereby i was cheated by a few workshop around Sunway and Subang Jaya saying the front wheel camber have to pump to get to its right angle... blah blah blah... BULLSHIT!!!) Trust me guys, these guys in Kota Kemuning really know how to deal with your E60...
