399 Euro + 45 euro for shipping = approx 445 euro => approx Rm1,745 ?
( euro pricing from racechip website , www.racechip.de )

Pls pm me. i am interested to buy bro.

hi guys,

thank you for your interest. RaceChip only offer Ultimate for BMW N20/B20 engine due to the complexity of BMW engine management system. it needs the fast processor to tune 3 signals at the same time (Boost,MAP & MAF sensors).

Ultimate price in website is EUR549+45 shipping. So it ends up to be about EUR600. However, we are authorized dealer for Malaysia and provide aftersales service and warranty as well.

thank you.

Can u pls describe the scope of warranty and aftersales service?

Tq

hi,

it comes with 2yr warranty on the product with 1-to-1 swap if found faulty. aftersales service will be including transferring the chip to other car, software upgrade, troubleshooting if needed.

thank you.

hi dragon,

that is the advantage of having a add on tuning box. you can remove it quite easily for service or warranty claim and everything will be as factory condition. thank you.

Good to know. Any ideas on how this box compares to the speedbuster ?

hi there,

as far as i know, RaceChip Ultimate is using the latest & fastest 32bit processor to optimum calculation and works seemlessly with your ECU. Not sure about SpeedBuster, RaceChip taps 3 sensors (boosts, manifold & airflow) to give a more complete tuning.

cheers.

There will be a tuner code/fault code detected in our ecu once we plug in this piggyback, even after we remove it from the car. Dealer can detect this code and deny warranty for engine/gearbox related issues. This is based on bms powerbox discussion thread on bimmerpost. can you confirm this piggy can delete the code ?

hi glock,

RaceChip Ultimate is nothing like BMS Powerbox which is very complicated. As far as i know, even there is a code, they will diagnose it as sensor problems and nothing else.

Not sure if u had noticed... When I send in my f30 328i for non engine related service, first thing the SA did was to open the front bonnet and check the spot where u would secure your chip box....

The engine bay is a big place to put the box plus the wire harness would be sufficient to put it on any side of the bay. but i doubt SA open the front bonnet to check where someone would install a 'chip' box. Probably just doing a visual check of the condition of the bay per SOP

Hi,

thanks for sharing info. as i mentioned, it will be better to remove the tuning box before each service to avoid dispute.

Hi guys,

I would like to make clear about the pricing on the RaceChip website. At the moment, RaceChip Germany is giving a discount on Ultimate specifically for BMW N20B20 engine with EUR399+45shipping which is very attractive and it will end soon. It is their way of giving discount for 'early bird' customers. However, don't forget the tax which is about 30% for all automotive accessories.

Putting the tax a side, you will not get local aftersales support such as warranty & software upgrade if any in future. So if you have problem with the unit for some reason, you have to ship it back and go through all the hassle.

Hope this clairfy the doubt some of you might have.

Thank you.

I'm not really a creative person so I can only refer to the spot that was used to install the 'chip' box per the installation video demo. the SA open the front bonnet and immediately took a deep look at that area. Once he found nothing at that area, he just close the bonnet without even taking a look at anything else (such as oil leak etc). This 'special inspection' was done prior to a rear wheel service where the SA has absolutely no reason to pop the front bonnet. Apart from the 'special inspection' at that specific area, SA didn't even bother to check on anything else.

Thanx for letting us know that. Looks like all buyers of such boxes need to be "careful".

hi,

which area they are looking at? there is no specific location to put the tuning box except those connectors. curious to know.
