Thank you for your replys. I sent my car to SA yesterday as they said the parts is arrived and they promise to hand over the car today.
Astroboy, I didn't wait that long for my 1 series, just 2 weeks. The parts need around 2 weeks also. It's still driveable even the warn signal is on. No problem.
Grace, actually I have 2 more problems after i got my car: windows trap protection and my audio player disply fade off a little bit. Is it common as well? Please let me know when you will bring ur car to TT. Plenty question to ask you.

How come your car got so many problems one ? You bought a used 116i is it ?

Return back to the Service centre lah~

astroboy, the older 120i has 4 doors. The new 120i sports model has 2 doors. I need 4 doors for easy access to my shoes :)

Update latest list:

1) gracetcp, 2005 120i, Sparkling Graphite
2) TheSpecialOne, 116i, Sparkling Graphite
3) ShuksE90, 2004, 120i, Alpine White
4) Joinh, 200?, 116i
5) achtung_baby, 200?, 1??i, Black Sapphire
6) King, 116i, Quartz Blue

Wow.. that's a piece of 1-series history that I missed while researching the model.. So not all 4 doors 1-series can easily be smoked huh.. I'll be more careful next time.. :D

Just a little update to my car status. I received back my car last week with all the problems fixed. (including the wiper arm with little scratch). I drove to Ipoh and the journey was fantastic!! (but I can only manage to speed up to 180km/h, due to road limitation), wind noise only can be heard after 150km/h.
btw, Astroboy, who is SC? sorry for my poor knowledge.
I just saw a blue 1-series with 2 doors(not sure the model) entering Astro in Sri Petaling this morning. Who is it?

Definitely not astroboy's wan.. :D

The 2-doors only available in 120i. I'm pretty sure about this.. :D No need to ask Grace :D

And SC means Service Center, SA means Sales Adviser. Common abbreviation used in local forum.

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a pre-owned 116i from AutoBavaria, was just wondering if you guys had any issue with your cars so far? Has it been reliable for you, any frequent trips to the service centre since owning your 1er?

Many thanks!

Hi I am also looking for a pre-owned 1er...would love to hear your experience, preferably by noting down the period of time you guys have had the car and any issues with them. Also how much would a full tank of petrol cost and how many KMs do you usually get?

Cheers1

No issues for me. It's just the regular service as indicated. Just make sure u check everything and get AB to rectify the complaints within warranty period. This includes getting them to do the paintwork if there are scratches.

As for petrol, a full tank is about RM85. I'm heavily footed & am aggresive, plus mine is a 120i, am quite embarrassed to share the consumption :) Other 1-series e.g. 116i gets around 9-10liters/100km.

Guess what guys...I test drove this baby today...and at the end of it, I put in a booking! It was immaculate on how the handling was, and the engine...phwoar! Absolutely loved it! I scheduled to drive a 2.0L Mazda 3, but called to cancel, as I placed a booking here!

I'm so loving the 116i right now, everything was purrfect...I can't wait for the delivery in a week or two!

Added more details on my new ride! Got it last Saturday, damn fast...approximately about 5 days after putting a booking fee. Car was in immaculate condition, after being treated at the Carnauba, not a scratch was at sight. However the rims were a bit dirty lar...but doesn't matter at that time coz I just wanna get behind the wheels. Mileage at about 6500km.

However, was surprised that it doesn't come with reverse sensors, and alarm

Anyway, I have had my 1er for about 3 days now...damn what a fine ride, makan minyak a bit lar, so I had to switch off the information display so that it doesn't tell me how much fuel is leaking away haha...but damn damn fine ride I must say.

The more I look at it, the more I'm in love with it, never fail to make me smile! :p

Eh! Kawan, why 06 car? Must be very cheap lor? Let me guess, below RM130k? Warranty still ada ka?

Congratulation! I almost got an 118i pre-reg '07 car with nil mileage at RM179k with 2 years AB warranty. Some how couldn't get over with the near vertical back seat.. I know, if we call it a 2+2, it's more than fine...

Well! the 1-series is so rare on the road, its really an instant classic! ;)

2006 manufactured car. Pre-owned car from BMW. Still got 1 year service warranty, and 2 years manufacturer warranty. Good deal?

Yar, the seat at the back is a bit tight, but I'm not buying a family car ma...if wanna buy family car already go for Altis or Civic, right?

Good deal? DAMN GOOD DEAL! :top:

Owning such exotic and rare car is kind of worrying if the maintenance and warranty program has ended.

Rightly said, its not meant to be a family car. The rear seat is a bonus. The car is designed for the driver and that's what u r buying..

Imagine its a hardtop 4-door Z3 with 5-seat.. :D cool!

and a press "START" button, mana mau cari.. :D
