I must admit that this is a very good site.....information supported by statistical data & measurement.....thanks for find and sharing. :eek:k:

Thanks for sharing.

I like what tire rack does with the ratings. Personally, I've bought about 4 sets of tires from them in the past 4 years. Prior to that I always went to discounttiredirect.com

I wish I could get those tires at those prices but here in Malaysia it not possible.

I wished tire rack carried Toyo tires. I like my Toyo T1S. This tire was popular and is used in the speedvision cup races.
Have also use Pirellis P6000, Bridgestone S03, Nittos and Michelin Snows. I have to admit that after many track days and daily driving the T1S and S03 are the best.

What I'm trying to say is, shop around for tires. If you have a budget, like myself, then sometimes getting less expensive tires can be more than adequate for most of us. We don't have to go out and buy the best tires out there base on just ratings.

Use car forums and seek help on whats a good tire to get. Also, those tires are tested in the United States. Malaysian weather is very different so you might want to take that into account.

Well said Shane. More often than not, we purchased tires which are more than adequate for our daily driving car and hence unnecessary spending, if you ask me.

The thing about all these tire test and results, the performance quoted/reported is based on new tires, and usually they are pretty good. For a consumer like me who is always looking to stretch the dollar, I am more concerned on their performance after a period of time. And I know the Eagle F1 I had on my cars were quite noisy when there is only 50% thread left.

The compounds that North America uses may not be the same as those used in the Asian tropics here.
