I was hoping of a direct respond to my repeated suggestion, but then a respond to Egon and as usual a support from Alan would suffice. Oklah since the voice has spoken and it is not reasonable to change TT days to compensate minorities. I get the drift. No discussion needed.

Thoughts
The increased or future increase number of Penang TTs participants will come from Penang itself or from the mainland? Minority might change to majority. Those staying outside Penang would have to leave home at 7 or 7:30 to reach TT at 8:30pm. Would attendance still be that good in the future? Crossing the bridge on Wed for every TT may not be a splendid idea as it is now. Motivation may drop.

Another point, Friday night is not a weekend yet la. Wed on the other hand, some are still at work and will have to work the next day. There are meetings to attend and presentations to do for the next day, being at home or at work is inevitable. Sometimes Wed TT, we bring families too, have to leave early cos next day is school day and wife also have to work. But then may be these guys are minority lah. So for those like in Sg Petani, Alor Setar, Nibong Tebal, Kulim, Bukit Mertajam, Taiping, let's just forget them lah.

Since the voice has spoken and no discussion. Like this la... this Wed, myself, Joe80 and R37220 will attend. My meeting is cancelled and Joe80 is taking time off from his work while R37220 will go home early that day to meet up. Next TT, not sure if we are lucky enough to make it.

I also realize I am posting my suggestion in the wrong thread la. This is Penang TT thread, so mainly for Penangites la. So may be someday, we will call our own TT ... for minorities.

Yearghh...I vote Friday too!! What Planta suggested is right bro...Friday is a good choice to TT,I think we can discuss again with acidburn & the rest about this...maybe now it's time to change,new year maa...must make new schedule for our TT....(it's just my opinion bro...dgn hati yg ikhlas...don't blame2 me ok,I'm not to ambush sesiapa...oso not to goreng2,hihihi) :wink:

I know I'm an absent person & always missed our TT,TT days always clash with my daily working shift,I respect u all an old timer in BMWCM Penang Region that telah bersusah payah to built up our members until now have 45members from only 3member!! That's a big number guys!! Congrats to all!!!! I'm very proud of it!!! :rock:

Hey Planta,

Thanks for the constructive feedback and positive attitude towards this matter. I would agree, we need to have some changes in the way we represent now. Thus what we need to do is, step back and see our achievement now. From my point of view, since day one I organized the TT, I do not see any obstacle from the club members. In fact they were really happy seems I re-born back the dying bimmerian community in Penang mainly. FYI, there was captured inside the initial plan to have the TT intervally in island and also in mainland.

But as a result only Alan the representative from mainland turn up and island people attendance rate very poor. It is vise versa to the mainland people if we doing in the island and I strongly understand your guys concern.

I have talk with Alan offline and to take win win for both parties, we might split the 2 groups. It is healthy and in fact they do the same now in KL whereby they have Bandar Sunway TT, Kajang TT, Ampang TT and also Cheras TT.

I hope this will receive your positive acknowledgement and moving forward, we need to align with our objective to gather as much bimmerian as possible to sheer the driving pleasure.

It is not FREE though. Please consider, I do this for the sake of the club.
 
Yo Acidburn....great job guys...

I have yet to attend the TT (will definitely do-need right timing). If the group gets bigger in numbers, we would have to find a bigger parking space for members attending. Imagine 70 members attending TT's, now where would we be having our TT then? AGain the large number would bring pride in Penang TT and the oohs and aahhhs from the public perhaps dying to join the TT (even Black Wira is now interested.....)

We should find ways possible for all Beemer owners to attend TT's. In democracy, perhaps fellow members put the issue to a friendly vote again? (proposer and seconder required ya?). What if Wed TT's bring 45 members but Friday TT's bring 80 constant? Splitting up into 2 groups is not my cup of tea...like MCA TEam A and TEam B......fuh.....we should be UNITED! not separated right? thats the main reason for TT's-getting together in large groups.

Still i recognize the time and effort of you fellas in reviving the activity....lets not see it go down the drain. BTW just my 1/2 sen opinion ya?....
 
Bro acidburn, planta, Rastabimmer, Egon-E39, let discuss this on the coming TT and by doing face to face, so we can get the message pass clearly to the other party.

I'm frm mainland and i understand all of the mainlander and the islander forumer problem due to some discussion with some of our senior forumer.

Let sit down and enjoy a cup of teh tarik and discuss about this face to face and dont discuss anymore about this issue in the forum.

Northern Region Biweekly TT ( First Wed of every month ).

Date: 30th Jan 2008
Time: 8:30pm or 2030
Venue: E-Gate Penang ( Old Town or Starbucks ).
Note : The location might be vary, the final invitation will be send via sms

I am proud to present that now we have 45 Bimmerians whom active and supporting Northern Region TT. I was still remember that in my first attempt of RE-IMPLEMENTATION the group, only 3 forumers turned up at Island Plaza TT. We had build up the networking thru CRM contact list and as a result the TT attendance rate improving for time being. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 3 key persons which are Alan Teh, vteoh and Daniel whom really support and coordinate the activities that we organized as a team. And not forget to the senior bimmerian in Penang such as Jeffery, LCP, Ade, viewfinder, anxious and 8080pbmw. Cheersss !!

We will discuss tonight. Will be there with Joe80, R37720, TripleA, another new guy and Rastabimmer + gang. My intention is to maintain the BMWCM forumer or club under the same roof (region) but we hang around in a bigger circle in the northern region through interval TT locations in Penang and Mainland. Nevertheless the logistics can be a challenge. So let's plan and discuss ... thank u sir.
