Paste / Liquid / Spray wax... whats the difference?

What's the difference between the 3 product variants above, in general? I find the array of detailing products available on the market quite bewildering... dunno what to buy.

I guess in general, spray waxes are easy to apply, typically just spray on and spread.
Whereas for liquid and paste waxes, you have to apply a thin layer first, wait for it to haze, then buff off later.
Tradeoff is that the spray waxes are generally not as durable as the liquid/paste waxes.

Liquid and paste wax are definitely better and more effective than spray waxes. Then again, they are more time consuming to apply. But once you've buffed it all off and it rains, just watch in amazement at the sheer water beading effect. Simply mesmerising.

Of course, price wise, both liquid and paste waxes would be rather pricey, but they're a worthwhile investment, provided that one knows how to use them well. :top:

there is a saying goes "treat the water before you go in"

you need to ask, WHO WHY WHEN WHAT....the million $ questions....

now my question to you? how often do you plan to reapply ? when? any time frame???


Eg
If you only got 2 hours to detail your own car...liquid would be the best...you can do it weekly or bi monthly

if you got all the time you want & able to spent 5 hours on each session paste would be good...


Let me translate to you.....every product has its pro & cons....good does not mean best , cheap does not mean no good...

anything is good but not everything is beneficial...& practical


another senario...if you are buying my friend "swiss Vax" entry level is about rm 500 totally biodegradable & edible .......hmmmmm..an excellent choice for GBP 7500 detailing

but do we have the time to hand applied like Paul Dalton....virgin hands, 3/4 twist....banana strokes

But in the other hand if you are always on the go like me....only have less than 1 hour...just a weekly wash & sprayed on wax... good to go all the time

if Less is more, is it mean less more????

For every product has its life spent.... storage...I still have my Gold Class Liquid ....for years & sayany to use...ended up product separated....SPOILT ...after all these years I m learning to live Frugal....making your $ stretch further:listen::listen::listen:

a time to wax & a time to exposed to the mother nature treat

a time to wash & also a time to rain

I use PG Wash and Wax. Did I wash? yes! Did I wax? yes! 30 mins job/week,one cap mix into half bucket, all-in-one..

Why so ...? That's all the time and investment I have ..

Agreed. But like what one of the members mentioned before, Turtle Ice is more of a sealant, instead of a wax. It's definitely easy to apply and wipe off, and the results are pretty decent too.

If not mistaken, someone once mentioned that using Ice as a first layer before finishing off with a wax, and the end results will be pretty good.

Tried it on my missus' ride 2 months ago, and the car's still looking shiny up till today. :top:

Hehehe. Good one. Used to try wash and wax solutions, but I was told that it may have chemical properties which might strip off the original layer of waxes on the car.

Haha, my mistake.

Not too familiar about it mah.

Yep, been changing the microfibres with new ones.

Just applied Megs last Monday, and it feels so good!
