Both do make good and bad products, one's local one's imported. Experiment and decide what works best for you.

Totally agree with kevster on this. Osren also makes good products. Just because its local does not mean that it doesn't work as well as an 'imported' or more well known brand such as Meguiar's.

An example would be the recent demo that we did:
http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33277

Part of the car was done with Meguiar's and another part was using Osren products.

Me and KC are planning to organize another get together with a smaller crowd where detailing enthusiast can be more involved and to discuss and try out any of the products and machines on the market. I think that should be better as the one in Ampang Park was more a demonstration in front of a much larger crowd.

I've tried *most* of Meg's and Osren products, they both have a very good product line for bodyshop and enthusiasts alike. One good thing about Osren's polishes is they do smell pretty good:4:.

Like all the above had said, some would work better on a particular car (paint) and some wouldn't. I think you'd get a better response if you can be more specific on what car you're working on and WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACHIEVE.

Regards.

do u really want to know?

lets set a date & u do it & decide which suits you better

Let me know....i will get osren to come over with his range....:listen:

bro
good to have u around again....welcome back .....and free to join us to lead detailing tuitions...

Is Osren, or even Meguiar's, actually research and manufacture their stuff that they sell? Or they buy from some chemical company? If it's the later... then there's no local vs imported difference really.

Dear view finder.....thanks for raising that

there are many ppl buy just becos of hear say.....my boss has it, my mum got it, he & she have it...so i must get

I got more OTC product more than many normal guys..... & the only thing i can read is from labels & leaflets.....

that was before i google & foruming...but after now i can google out the answer

since then I hunt & search what are they make of.... eg in US...FDA & Consumer affairs..required to label yr content....

go to Megs...eg...search for their MSDS.....material safety data sheet

Osren does develop their own line of product...from Cleaners agent to polisher & to protection......the have both the PH neutral & aggressive cleaners

As for me I cant afford to play poisonous stuff......got my princesses waiting for me at home...safety always comes 1st & osren does their own development too

we are detailing & not poisoning- PH balance product is the standard to start with
others i am not sure........therefore....i never believe in OTC un proven product

you need to try it out yrself & quest what u like & suits u best

have fun in detailing
