hi all, recently upgraded to 19" rims on my e92 335i.. suffice to say the offset is quite aggressive.. on a faster drives, when facing depressions on the road or some uneven surface, noted that the rear wheels are now touching the fenders.. :(even the front wheel, on some situations only, upon full wheel turn, is touching the inner fender/wheel arch..i was advised for the rear;1. to slightly "toe-in" the rear wheel alignment2. to roll the inner fender walls3. more extreme, knock out the inner fender wall4. change back to 18" (not an option!!)i was advised for the front;1. find limiter cap (is there such a thing?)2. change back to 18" (still not an option!!)what does the sifus here advise? budget & location..thanks in advance..

ok, will upload pic in a bit..

whiteknight very d understanding one *thumbs up*

saprozeldo, try to search in the forum as the location to roll the fender was discussed before.

Affect or not? I was told all this depends on the worker who does it.

An e92 bimmer in BP (Batu Pahat) uses 19' rollers n never faces this problem..cud it be yr tyre profile? cheers

quite a fair bit of moolah to know am stuck w d 19" rims to clear d reds.. :p

so pls help me solve my rubbing problem.. am meeting david yong to see his 19" setup.. thank you david..

woohoo..... cantik la bro. hope u david will be able to help u coz he has the same car & rim size etc :)

Offset same with david, more or less.. Tyres are 275/30 front & 245/35 rear.. Camber plan between 2.0 and 2.1 but highly depend on available clearance after rolling d fender..

M impressed wit david's car, simple mods but effective.. Unlike mine, lotsa trial and error.. :p

hi , you must mean 245/35 front and 275/30 rear ;)

Try to see if a GOOD tyre shop can adjust the CAMBER on the suspension system you have,
If so , the angle could allow the top outer edge to come further inside of the wheel arch, and eliminating the problem :)

Also, if the situation isnt posssible, try to swap the current tyres for

235/35/19 front
265/30/19 rear

this will give you a narrower profile, and free up a bit of space :)

yesyesyes.. got it the other way around..

by the way, talking about 235/35 and 265/30, those are unique sizes right? if not mistaken, not many brand produced those sizes, is that true?

My 19" offset is aggressive too. Front ET28 and Rear ET25. I did the fender rolling at one of the workshop in Sunway. A very good job done. After the fender rolling at the rear and adjusting the camber to negative 2.1 (it was originally at negative 2.0), there is no more rubbing at all. You may contact Ah Loon 012 338 3325 and tell him David the blue 335i intro you. If I am not mistaken, I paid around RM 150 to RM 200 for the fender rolling of both rear sides. His shop is just few doors away from the Esso station.

Hi all, thanks for all d feedback.. I went to ah loon's place earlier today.. He rolled d fenders.. Contrary to some posts in another thread, I saw that ah loon's work only affects the inner piece (one that is angled 45deg) & not the 5-7mm flat piece that acts as the soft-bone to the fenders.. The softbone remains intact and rolling the fenders does not even push out the fenders.. It merely pushes d 45def piece in so it becomes vertical.. As such, the structural integrity should not be affected..

That said, while ah loon did have special equipments to roll d fenders, there was not use of heating equipment (as claimed in some other threads) and ah loon did use the hammer piece to knock selected parts of the fender..

All in all, ah loon did a fairly good job at a fair price..

Most importantly, my 19" aggressive offset rims (still dunno what they are) and 275/30 tyres (10mm wider than stock) no longer rubs against the fenders..

Thank you david for d recommendation.. *thumbs up*
