From this weeks motortrader regarding the "New Naza" Bestari: basically a rebadged 206 Peugeut."Only a handful of Malaysians would make an issue of Naza doing what can be described as ‘cloning’ (although it is actually doing more than just switching badges) while the majority of the buying public will be happy to get a car with competent engineering and design by a leading carmaker… at an affordable price which we have been told is RM68,888. Designing a good car takes a lot of experience and money (Peugeot spent 6.3 billion francs to develop the 206) and if it is possible to use that design, why not use it and give customers a properly-developed product rather than one which spoils their ownership experience?"IMHO: it's a good little car (my sister and friend have one) but to contend that it's more than switching badges - what that just a load of "you know what"!!. Unfortunately, knowing Naza history of assembly on previous models you can just about guarantee triple the no. of defects such as the roof liner falling off, squeeks, etc. IMHO2: this the prime example of what happens with protectionism, crappy products at crappy prices. (the mkt price of the 206 is realistically 40K rm!!) at our expense.IMHO3: Is amazing what Cronizym can do as obvious NAZA has the proper kidback through a certain fat ARSS**D, Loud mouther female minister.!! sigh when is this all going to change? can we vote against this....

Has anyone had a look at the real thing? The Bestari, that is... how different is it from the 206 in terms of trim, specs, etc?

Resale market for pugs almost non-existent in Kuching? How about in KL? Say 2-3 yr old 206? if good value, can consider shipping it back here! :D

Soon They will Rebrand BMW's i guess :p
Now,that would be nasty. Let's hope it won't come to that!!! :aggressive:

But for RM 60k plus, i think this is the ONE and only 1 national car so far that is not robbing us of our rights to own a good car...heck at least it has airbags as standard....but have to consider the build quality 1st

Now I wonder whether there'll be a Naza F430 soon enough maybe with a lil help from our local Datuk Michelle heheh

1.4 litre and 4 door only, right?

If yes, its a great pity, when u cud have had 2.0l GTi.

Only like 2 door 206.

Any pictures of the Bestari amyone? From what I know, the Naza Sutera which just came out is from China and it is not from Kia.
