BMW engines will be reduced in an attempt to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions - and even saints "M" Division would be affected by the new wave of environmental awareness sweeping the automaker. BMW has always been the philosophy of supplying high rpm engines M, but everything changes.

Twin scroll 4.4 V8..Max RPM 1000 less than E60 M5..
Torque better & max at lower RPM all the way to max power compared to outgoing E60.

Sorry..can't remember the figures but was reading it on either Top Gear or Autocar July edition I think..
