New car

[Crymson]

Which car would you recommend, using it for running around town for meetings and appointments. Budget is within RM80,000 and only want to use it until end of next year or mid 2007, before changing to another car.Currently Vios is top choice. Btw, it's not for me.

VIOS is nice..... so is swift but VIOS may have an advantage in terms of resale..... IMHO Toyotas have a solid resale reputation....

I know for the fact that a few VIOS buyers have complaint about the legroom, headroom etc. in this car..(they are not big size) so it is Swift for me too.. B)

I'd go for the Swift too. Driven my friend's before and it's not bad. And looking at the current popularity of the car, resale would be quite good. I think.

both cars also good....Vios got the good resale.....Swift got the Style!

But in term of delivery.....i think Vios will be faster than Swift. Coz now Swift got no stock from all the Suzuki dealer.

No stock for Swift due to AP control and demand is high. So if you can wait, i recommend Swift, if you need the car urgently....Vios lor...hehehe, ok?

Hope that can clear your mind, which car to choose from.

Hey, guys... what about MyVI? It is the cheapest and stylish summore (well at least for the next few months). Since it will mainly be used for running around town and with the high fuel costs, I think it makes economic sense. Morover, quantum wise, I don't think you'll lose lesser when it comes to second hand value compared to the VIOS and Swift which is priced at a higher price range.

myvi for me, for standard 1.3 u will get it pretty soon i think... even vios need to wait for 1 or 2 months i think....

Waiting period for hot selling car:

1) MyVi = 6 month (for auto) / 1 1/2 month (manual)
2) Vios = 1 1/2 month (due to too many model to produce by Toyota factory)
3) City = 1 1/2 month (due to Westar AP problem)
4) Swift = No idea when the car can come out from Port Klang.

City is CKD..no AP issues. Jazz is CBU Thailand and I hear that there are limited colors avail only now due to supply problem (AP issue?)

Anyway, my pick will be Swift just on looks. I liked the way the Vios drove tho..

Of these choices, I like the Swift the most. It's the newest kid on the block and looks chirpy and exciting whereas City and Vios boring already...
