Need Help to Install INPA/EDIABAS to Windows 7 32bit

hello all. i just got my k+d can scanner together with installer CD but i had difficulties to get the software installed into my laptop. perhaps sifus here have ways to guide me. thanks in advance.

Installation of INPA/Ediabas is pretty straight forward. It's the GT1 part which is quite tricky.

Exactly the same situation like you but only different was i get my k+d can scanner quite some time ago by Master Jarance's GB. Now my k+d can scanner was cover with full of dust in my store room.

Susah betul mau graduates lah...LOL

There is no shortcut to installing the software. You have to follow the each and every steps in the proper sequence as shown by winzee links and other links. If you miss one step or install the program in different order it will not work.

thanks all for the feedbacks. i shall first try follow the links given and see how. the difficulties i faced basically is installing the software. steps provided by the seller on how to install inpa somehow do not correspond with the number of folders provided in the cd. guess i need more patience and time tonight. will update the outcome if there's any.

thanks bro. this one looks comprehensive as well like the one shared by aidilj in his previous thread. i was halfway last night but fell asleep while waiting the inpa installer to be fully downloaded. haha. going to continue tonight.

i am very pleased to inform that i had successfully installed the inpa software on the 32bit windows 7 platform. it was a pretty straight forward process because i followed exactly the links shared by sifus in previous posts.

only last night i had the chance to really play around with the inpa. i had no major problem to browse the software because the buttons are rather doing the same things like in pa soft. from my little experience with the two scanners below are my observations/comments:

1. inpa is more comprehensive in viewing the status of each module compared to pa soft.
2. the way things are organized/the layout, i like pa soft more.
3. some of the errors like in lcm, ike etc are detectable in pa soft but not in inpa.
4. i could not find the "recoding" button in inpa, like the pa soft has to toggle on/off some of the module options. i found the "activate" button and i tested it and i think it is merely a button to test work some of the car functions.

the above is purely from my understanding of both softwares at this point of time. i am very welcoming any lesson from all sifus here. hehe.

Good to hear everything went well
1. INPA is factory debug tool, it could present more info than pa soft, but you have to know what to look for
2. The GUI is nicer in pa soft I guess, but I'm used to INPA layout, haven't spent much time with pa soft
3. This could be in the shadow memory
4. Yes activate is to run some testing/reset subroutine. You have to use NCSE for coding, the same cable can be used for NCSE and GT1

One advantage is that with the right cable you can access more models than what pa soft allows. Have fun!

Have fun with INPA bro! The best part about INPA is that it lauches almost instantly without any delay and the ability to do delete adaptations (for gearbox etc).

NCS Expert is great for recoding but mine the language are all German by default which makes it hard to understand unless you have a manual with translations.

Great to know that another fellow member is on board the diagnostic/coding ship.
