look around the classified and you'll see MR InitialM selling one of his beauty .. E60 530i ...check that out ...

Salam romie26 and nice to meet you :) It's quite hard to tell from the list but I presume you have test drove the cars listed above and their condition is excellent? In my opinion it is best to get the LCI version because there are a lot of improvements over the pre-LCI versions. Moreover, the price difference is very minimal so your choices would be (3) or (4). Some other things to take note are like pedal shifts, HUD, Logic 7 sound system - these are good to have items.

Tq iceman, but need to interchange my plate number......
Different between uk and Japan spec to much......
I get e60 uk spec for rm200k,but for Japan spec rm227k

Monday will decide with model to book.....

salam,

you can go for ur 2nd choice and modify it urself and make it looks like LCI..maybe can cost around 10k+ or maybe less? good thing you can still have the sunroof..so roughly total will cost RM225k.. save 10k compared to ur 4th choice..

then those things that you have changed to LCI, you can sell off the old one.. gain your money back :p

You can go with UK Spec, there's nothing wrong with it :) Extra 27K can be spent for a lot of repairs if needed.

I agree ..27k can buy a lot of parts for preventive maintenance.

Mine oso UK-spec E60. I've oredi spent around 15k in these past 1 yr doing preventive maintenance for peace of mind. Car is ok.

If you're from KL, try contact this dealer: Ficky (012-679 2907)

I bought mine from him, 2008 525 LCI, UK spec, only RM198k (before all the insurance and road tax etc.). I won't say he sell his cars at a cheap price, but I got lucky i guess because he needed to let go this car fast. Test drove it, and sent it to my mechanic to make sure everything is OK before I signed on the dot. But unfortunately, the problem arise 3 weeks after delivery. Spark plugs gone kaput. So I sent it back to get it replaced, since it's still under warranty.

Hi Alan, from the Mudah post, it seems that the owner/dealer had changed to a LCi rear tail light cluster (i.e. LED type). The front headlight remains at pre-LCi type (old type). Look at the silver engine cover (N52B25 early batch), there are some report saying that the engine consume a substantial amount of engine oil compare with the later one. Please take note. Nevertheless, there are also report saying that by using better grade engine oil i.e. 0-40W the problem will improve.
It is a 2007 car so be prepared to standby at least RM10-15k for necessary repair depending on the "real mileage".

I copy from forum,is it maintenance about rm10-15k for 2007 car..........
Plz give more advice bcoz tomoro will paid the balance......I choose the 2007 Japan spec with sunroof for rm215 k.....

@romie26, that's not true :) The pre-LCI version (N52 engines) have "missing engine oil" issues on some of them. If you go for LCI version, this problem is resolved. You definitely don't need RM10-15K to maintain a 2007 LCI model. Apart from that, it's more worth to buy a proper LCI car rather than getting an older version and modify it.

Ask for one year warranty, there are dealer willing to give. GPS in Japan spec cannot be used. I-drive can be changed at abt rm8-10k

I am also under OPAL and I can tell you that to claim something, it takes a lot of hassle and time. It's not as straight forward as we think it is.

Agreed..it took 10dys for adjuster to check my car, and one day for the workshop to repair it..changed oil pressure sensor & ignition coil, workshop claim only rm550 from opal..10 days wooo..what a waste of time, could hv paid it myself..but whats the point having warranty if if u dont claim, right.!! caution !! if repair costs more than rm10k, opal will shop for opinions, sometimes up to 4/5 workshop..repair process must be sooo sloww..!
