I am driving Toyota Camry, last week, I send my car to SV for service, only I realise my tyre thread nearly wear off. The service advisor strongly encourage me to change tyre asap. And he recommended to use Michelin P3ST. This is my first time heard of this tyre, could anyone share more abt this? Is it worth to change to this tyre?

This is expensive tyre. I think no need , just get something cheaper.

Cheaper alternatives are like Nexen or HPY Champiro.

Nexen? Personally it is not a good option.. I think .. because the life spain is kind of short.. as my personal experience.

Life spain? Whats that?

Compared to the rest the N8000 has a threadwear of 200 which is lower but the price justifies that and the lower threadwear provides additional grip (actually very good grip) when dry.

If threadwear is your concern then go for the HPY Champiro. Priced slightly higher than the Nexens, these tyres have a threadwear of 300.

as I know Michelin is one of the two largest tire manufacturers in the world. It is a trustable brand.
I found that Michelin used in a lot of racing contest like LEMAN.
I prefer to use Michelin as the tyre is design with latest technology..even Porche use Michelin Tyre.

They're just so damn expensive, that's all.

for me, i think all tyre are just the same! just different brand only. usually i will just depend on the service centre to recommend me tyre when i wanna change. easy...

Ok, marketeers from Michelin. I understand that you want to try to promote your products and there are a lot of ways to do that and stir conversations.

But please do not act as if we are so dumb that I can't view your IP addresses and see that it is all coming from the same source but having different nicknames.

mavik......they'd ignore ur comments n push thru their product(s)......they will lay low for a while.....like they normally do.....then resurface....always in this sub-forum...

an insult to the lads who are genuinely offering their thoughts and advice....

tyre expensive lor…and it also can affect our safety on road so try to get good tyre..please choose tyre wisely..
as I know different type of tyre use for different purpose. Don’t simply buy la,choose those suitable one..

"Damn expensive car such as Porsche Macan, BMW X5, of course it need to equiped with damn expensive Michelle tyre"
HAHAHA!
You do get what you pay for when buying Michelins.
Most of the Michelin tyres are far superiour than any other tyre brand on the road. If you compare a Michelin tyre with any other tyre you can see and feel the differences. The quality of the rubber is much better than anything else out there.
And also I think Michelin do spends far more on research and development than any other tyre manufacturer
Reason that make Michelin tyre damn expensive = Good Material + research & Development

Honestly I found that P3ST wear out very fast compare to N8000 and HPY Champiro. Of course the goodthing about P3ST is quiet, grip is good in dry and wet. If you want to enjoy silence, comfort and safety with your car... P3ST will be the right choice.

amywong and Mi55 U, this is your last warning.

Please do not tarnish the brand Michelin as I am very sure these sort of "fake" marketing tends doesn't really work here. Proceeding to lock the thread.
