Need advice for E46 330i

Good day to all the sifu here, I'm new to BMW and would like to try my first with E46 330i,found one in used car dealer with reg no WQX 929, look pretty good,but I tried to check with AB but no service history reg in AB. anyone knew about this lovely car history and also the maintenance schedule & cost for this monster machine, please kindly advice me. TQ

Believe this car is a CBU from UK. What is the year of manufacture of this car?? What is the asking price from the dealer?

Get the last 7 VIN number and enter the VIN number at www.realoem.com
It will give you the year of manufacture. AB shuld be able to retrieve the info about the car ... Did you provide the full VIN number to AB???

You can locate the VIN if you pop the bonnet open ... It is on the driver side.

Thanks herbert & B33mEr, dealer said it is Jpn spec 2001 and reg in local is 2006, asking for 89.6k,
original M sport ver, come with all M tech kits, nappa leather seat, sunroof/ moonroof, harman kardon ss etc.

AB did asked about the car reg no and they doen't have the service record of it,
and they didn't ask about the VIN

dealer told it's japan spec, any different can spot between jpn and uk spec?
asking for 89.6k, how much it should worth?

Just got an inspection in the dealer about the xxx 929
dealer told having sound from steering when turning
and some bearing sound from engine !!!!!
anyone could tell how much to fix this problem?

Bro,

My advice would be:-

1. get the VIN number and confirm year of production and etc etc from www.realoem.com.
2. send this car to a BMW specialist and have them do a full diagnostic and mechanical checks.
3. after the test, get a repair estimate from the workshop and then nego price with dealer.

Thanks bro, looks hard to find a good 330i in the market,
i may switch to 325i instead.........

of course 330i will be more powerful, but hard to find a good one in m'sia market,
all we have is 01/ 02 model, if can find a 04 model is better.

Yes you are correct that 04 model is better in terms of different mapping of the ECU.
