Hi guys ,
How do it spot the diffrence between the 177bhp engine( or lower bhp) and the 184 bhp engine? on this diesel engine , so far i cant get much info in Google.

If i am not mistaken, you can find 184bhp diesel engine in year 2010 and above.

can we safely say so? the engine codes and all is the same and we cant really know "TU" or others codes to confirm it .

Hi bro,

As guideline, 2010 and above is 184bhp version. you also can check from VIN number.

If you do not have the access to VIN, another way is by visually identifying the "BMW" wording on the engine cover.

184bhp - Black/Non-colored
177bhp - White
