I try to renew a roadtax via MyEG. When come to the payment, the system requests me to key in the credit card FULL details (if payment make by credit card) and username/password (if payment make by M2U). No payment allowed by bank-in method. I stop there and curiously how safe the system?Anyone try before?

I renewed the car insurance by my own (not under MyEG) but plan to renew the roadtax via MyEG as the car reg card is not with me. In your case, u renew the ins and roadtax with Etiqa, right?

I paid my summons thru Myeg....I prefer credit card cos if anything happened ,easy to investigate.....if thru ac then d risk is higher for sure....

MyEG request FULL details of the credit card include the security code and cc password..Safe to give them the info?

Past two years I paid my roadtax thru MyEg using credit card and it was fast delivery within 2 days. So far no problem at all..

When paying with credit card online always got risk.

I have a credit card specially for my online purchases and have limited my credit limit on that card to RM3000. Therefore even if something goes wrong, my losses are limited to RM3000.

Security code not an issue as most of d transaction requested d code.....

The password is not ur cc password actually......for 1st time u want to make d payment thru cc...u need to fill up some detail for verification and myeg will created an ac for tat particular cc so in future when u want to do d payment ...use back d same cc and key in ur password will do...so d password is d ac at myeg for tat cc....not ur cc password...hope this will help...

just like any other online transaction, FULL details are required. However, majority are already quite secure (with verisign and etc certified). Not easy to get these certification.
Same applies when you buy airline tickets online.... it's a matter of being comfortable online.

Yes, there are precautions. Careful of scam sites (eg the m2u scam sites), keyboard listeners etc. Use a proper antivirus on your computer and using a CC to pay will be better because you can dispute if there was an illegal transaction. Make sure you use a strong password too.

I've been doing online transactions since early 90s so I'm very comfortable with online purchasing. Never had any issue with any payment.

i also recently used myEG. Excellent service. delivered my roadtax within 24 hours to my doorstep.

Just did mine yesterday morning. Got it in the evening. Very efficient indeed and no Maya Karin was not available. Some dude hand delivered it to me.:burnout:

i have use the system as well and it works well for me.

Compare to early days, cc processing now are more secure and (touch wood), so far my online purchase experience has been great. most payment are done thru paypal so no big issue. like the public visa where they bring you to double verification process and that make you more comfortable doing online transaction.

i used them and will never use them again, the billed me 8 times for the same policy.
insurance and road tax came up to 1500 + and i got billed 8 times for it. they eventually sorted it out, but it was an a royal pain. and guess who paid for the interest on the purchase?

I have used myeg to pay summons, roadtax, and renew driving licence. so far no problems.

looks like i'll be using them again to pay for that stupid summons i got on the Kulim BMW Factory trip. FARKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
