Latest update! My carpet has returned..gone are the greenies and here comes black beauty! and the ever sexy alcantara on the door cards!

Hi bro did you dye the carpet, can I get more info. By the nice ride, waiting c the final result. Thanks.

Hi NewBeemw,

It is not dyed. We were concerned with the effect of dyeing as it may cause the carpet to be hard later on. What they did was to put a layer of the black carpet over the green carpet. It must be carefully done becuase if it is too thick, you may have difficulty fitting your seats later on. My instructions are to have the original carpet (sound proofing is excellent for the ori carpet) and the layer must not be heavy as I do not want to have too much additional weight.

Tx for the suggestion. Did think of that but for now prefer it the same colour with the panel so it looks bigger..and in future if I want it black, can always sitcker it! But then again, as they say, once u go black, u will never go back..lol

I finally succumbed to the poison..got the M5 wing mirror..now awaiting for the mirror to be wrapped. Quality check now to make sure no bubbles and detailing the cabin. My worn and dry looking dashboard is being restored and refreshed...i think they are injecting some silicon and collagen inside...hehehehe

The m5 wing mirror with carbon fibre sticker...Got the car back for a few days..replaced the starter motor (but wrong diagnosis by the mechanic), replaced the termostat and water pump pully....went to Everco at sunway to install the exhaust tips but they were too busy as they had too many cars that day..will return on tuesday then after the exhaust, will send back to Darren for the final inspection and touch up...

Back to the future..managed to find some photos pre vinyl. this was the prep work by George at Kampung Sg Ara. Has to make sure the panels are all even..all dings and dents to be repaired before the wrap.

Really nice project.

Interesting, I thought it would have been better to wrap over original paint. Did you repaint the car on your own before taking it in for the wrap or was the repaint part of the package and arranged by autodetailer?

I bought my car second hand..the dealer repainted it and it was a bad paint job..hence, have to repaint it..plus a lot of dents and dings! the repaint not included in the package..
