Guys, is it worth to buy a 2008 model 325? The price owner is asking is 185k... I have a budget of 180k and wanted to go for 2009 facelifted 320i. I can also buy new but in my view its not worth it as within one year, the new model 3 series will be out. So I would like to go for a one/two year old 320i... What are your suggestions?1- Should I go for used 2008 325 in 185k?2- Should I go for used 2009/2010 320i by adding some more bucks?3- Should I wait for the new model in 2012 and in the meantime, drive any other car? Which one?Regards,Z

Option 3 if you can wait. However, note that new models tend to have gremlins in them and you would be one of the first to experience these gremlins! If you consider a used car, go for the 325. Else, the best alternative is the 320d or 323. Consider warranty and BSRI still active or not as well. My 2 cents!

Buy the 325i, if you buy the 320i then in about three months there gonna be a new thread titled "Why 320i cannot tapau Civic 2.0 - need to change car"

The new 3 series will be available end of 2012 here, earliest. If you can wait then better delay your purchase till then. If you must get a car now and you like spirited driving get the 325i but if you are the type who drive calmly everywhere get the newer 320i :)

There's a very clean 325i '06 for sale a few threads below.rm165k..

U save rm15k-20k with this one.

I wanted to start a thread why 325i cannot tapao Golf GTi 2.0.

I want to start a thread: Why buying a BMW, thinking it will be the fastest car on the road, is an expensive mistake.

Its the same reason why guys go after the most pretty face who dresses in expensive clothing. It's an expensive mistake too!! That should answer your question!!

RFts are hard and they run down botak very fast- after 30,000 km you have to change-and you look at 6,000MR for a set of 4 tyres. Every year spend 6K on tyres.

Ha ha ha! This is a good one :)

It doesn't. What's the reason for both mistakes?

Well the first is that a BMW is no different from other cars as they get you from point A to point B in the same fashion and manner just very expensive to maintain and dubious reliability after a while

The second is that the pretty face is the same as other pretty face in the light but all the same in the dark. All will be fat, grumpy and costs lots of money once introduce to BMW LV and $$ holidays.

they both will be game over in 3 years no matter what you say today and a newer and costlier model will eventually supersede them. It'll cost an arm and a leg just to either dispose them or maintain a new and an old model at the same time

Actually an E90 325i can tapau a golf GTI :- 218hp vs 200hp

Stock for stock of course :4:

Let me guess...you had to change your RFTs too, DKNY?

define the tapau bro...from the back or all the way tapau...hehe

tested before from standstill...the gti leads and only can get near to the gti after 160kmh...

tested also e60 525i with passat...same..no chance until i hit end of 3rd gear...

all stock car...

hp is one thing, size and weight is another. 18 hp difference probably doesnt mean much for the bigger e90 i guess. Can win on paper only.

Another thread would be : Why a Golf TSI can tapau your 320i and 323i, which are about 60k and 110k more expensive...?

or maybe how a E92 325i cannot keep up with an Audi TT coupe 2.0 TFSI :-(
