Casanova,

Nice car u have there !! Wondering what is the damage like ?? Anyone to racun me on this ? :D

Beware of the Dark Side !! I Will ...

Just to know for future plans !
Well since my car was the demo car I got massive discounts on everything, but here's retail (approx.)

Widebody = $2000
GTR front bumper = $1300
Add-on rear = $450
Competition Wing = $800
sideskirts = $800
roof spoiler = $500
2-piece front lip = $450
Hamann CF steering wheel = $1100

Hamann design edition rims = $6000+
The rims are their special edition ones and price really varies depending on availability. I was 1/5 in USA, I'm very sure I'm 1/1 in the whole east asia.

all prices are retail and in $USD

note: US taxes = 0% if paid in cash, or about 8% if check/credit
Malaysian taxes are about 20-40% (from personal experience) import tax on car products.

it's a lot of money yes....but then again...i got a 2.5L coupe for only RM120k when most people's 1.8L sedans are almost RM300k

Cars sold in USA and Australia are sold with about only 10% sales tax.

In Malaysia imported cars are subject to about 150-200% tax (sales+import)

starting price for 325 4-door in USA is about US$28k = RM106k
but once it is imported and taxed into Malaysia it becomes about RM265k = US$69k

a M3 in USA sells for US$60k :aggressive:

I bought my car for in USA for about US$30k + US$3k tax. so only about RM125
Same price as a Perdana I think.

But didnt u incur alot of excise duties and taxes whilst bringing the car back into KL?

Its only worth it because you have spent so much modifying the car right?

Prob wont have much savings from selling it off and buying the same thing in kl if you bring it back and have to pay the excise duties and etc for a mildly modified car?

student AP?
yup student AP

I didn't get taxed on anything but the car (so everything I put into the car wasn't taxed)
Also the car is 5-yrs old and not new so tax is much less.

I pretty sure you only get excise tax if i buy a car from a dealer. (CarTrade, BavAuto, etc.). So you'd only have to pay for import tax if you bring in a car yourself.

how long does one have to own da car to b able to bring a car back after finishing ur studies overseas?
9months....but the longer you've owned the car more chances for approval.

nice car mate... any funny experiences to share with us on your LHD antics on RHD roads?? :)

Really nice ride there Casanova,

Saw the car I think a couple of months back at Shah Alam (the shoplot/ offices nearby Giant). I was behind you and can't help but admire.

Then I wonder if the owner's name is JAJA - JDJ4.

I live in Shah Alam, that's why I was at Giant.
And no my name is not Jaja.

Shipping the car back cost me about US$3k including insurance.
Taxes vary depending how old your car is, what type of car it is, engine size etc. I think I got hit with about 75-80% of it's 5-yr depreciated value.

:) how is the car holding up? more importantly how is the supercharger holding up to our weather?

overheat? what's ur oil temp reading? average? highest?
average about 105C, highest 115C

when i was in US it never went over 100C

Adam, if you get an intercooler you should get the Rennsport large upgrade one from US, cause it's a direct add-on for your ASA.

:D so adliz,ape lagi!!!
so in actual fact in heat soaked enviro like ours the bigger the I/C the better lah?? or is it bcoz ur car is not tropicalized??
