all bro, thanks for the support, lastly 1 question the sum insured on my car insurance is RM 210K, but bejaya semporna say it be based on market value thus how much will i be getting ? is it based on stolen date ? need this infor so i can go shop for another e60 , mine is 525 04 recon , registered in 08 dec.

Just heard another e60 was taken away using the same modus operandi, 5-6am in Cheras, few days ago, didn't on alarm also, CCTV recorded, 2 fellas went in and took the car key, drive the e60 away. Didn't even attempt to get into the bedroom. They just want the car.

Should get your RA (Residents Association) going and form a security guard system for your area, also get the MPSJ and local Police involved in the dialogue(s) to have more Police pondoks, patrols, etc. A strong RA body can move the local council and authority with a unity in voice.

can`t wait for insurance to pay my claim , i have ordered a 2005 e60 525, wanted a 530 till found the road tax for company is 3x !!!. number plate this time is 2885 , Will start mod using the insurance claim, full spec uk but no navigation.
will give update, now thinking of either install captor or cobra connex .
any recomendation.

Theres an incident happened at Ipoh Garden few months ago where my uncle's W210 had been stolen(its just valued 80-90k ler) ...Modus operandi was the same..As usual my uncle gets from his bed at 7am and switched off the alarm before he goes down. Later he heard some noises downstairs...once he was on the stairs halfway down he saw a chinese man with baseball cap in his hall WTF!!..that fella was cool looking for his car key so my uncle just gave away the key and the guy went out to the car...My uncle manage to talk to him saying that he has some important documents on the back seat and then the thief just get all the docs handed over to my uncle..then he reversed took his friend who was outside waiting and zoom he goes...thief with some dignity i guess....

I think the ancient way of locking the door by blocking with a big piece of wood or metal is not a bad idea..

Personally the only thing that worries me is the non malaysian thiefs like indons,viets and others...these guys have no mercies man...freaking killing and raping even after u gave them everything..Thanks again to our Fckin government!!

Go for Cobra Connex. That's the OEM provided for BMW Europe for all their integrated security related systems. Make sure u get a knowledgeable installer. Contact their Shah Alam HQ for authorised outlet check. They should have the complete wiring diagram for E60 and no wire cutting, all OEM fittings.

earlier post u mentioned the thieves drive a gs300 or mazda...seems like a pro doing the job...the pro sometimes can be a car accessories shop owner during the day time...so be careful when u send the car for accessories/ alarm etc installation...it might start from there.

There is of collusion of many parties to get the cars out, repainted, renumbered, reshipped, re registered, and finally resold to an unsespecting? buyer. In this country, the mandatory Puspakom checks should pick out these things, so where ? Indonesia or Thailand? Like it or not, the collusion of parties on both sides of the law is rampant. we direct our anger at the low-lifes who carry out these crimes. For E90, and the other push start model, don't think so. The CAS (Car Access System), the ignition control module and the FOB has to work together to answer a series of dynamic questions to unlock each other.

Every CAS can only support 6 FOB, we get 2 when buying the car and when lost FOBs, the other balances will be used up when SC replaces your FOB. And once the 6 FOBs are used up, need to replace CAS module.

You may ask, can we get CAS module from outside? Yes, but must be authorised BMW parts reseller and I believe BMW AG is aware of the issuing of these CAS and key sets.

That's why when they need your car, they die die must take your FOB as well. Otherwise, they can't drive it away or sell them as a complete car.

im guessing it is not an easy task...which is why its easier to break into the owner's house and steal the car key. or tow the car away.

as for the accessories shop, sometimes they'll ask u for house address (as a client database purpose) and sometimes they'll tail you to your house...this thing happen.

they have the advantage since they are the one who install the alarm system. its a matter of knowing where you live and get the car key from you.
