Msport: 320d vs 325i

I think this forum is discussing the two cars in terms of value(price), performance, economy(fc) and ofcourse polution( noice and emision). there are alltogether 5 catagories. So give points from 1 to 10 for each catagory and decide which is good for u. thats my view point

They are completely different products with their own merits.

Yes, the 325i is the current epitome of what a sports sedan should be. But then again, what about the 335i?

The 320d is BMW's (and the world's) first performance diesel sedan. But then again, what about the 335d?

For those who have cash burning holes in their pockets, why stop at the 325i, the 335i is a vastly superior product. The e90 325i is an excellent compact sports sedan and sets the standards for this motoring segment. I love this car and in the Msport package, truly awesome!

For an average joe (like me)who has other mouths to feed, bills awaiting and loans to service, the e90 320d is the somber choice. The 10k savings per anumm in fuel alone would have gone towards the car's repayment for 4-5months! I would be perceived as an environmentalist and still enjoy the 350nM of torque daily. You can have your cake and eat it.....

Once again, no issue on the brilliance of the 325i, but having driven both extensively over the last 20 months, it's the oil burner for me.

BTW, no concern over our diesel quality as BMW's engineers have reduced the fuel rail pressure and omitted the particulate filter from the exhaust system. Hence the comprehensive warranty that comes with the car. Now if only they ticked the iDrive option for the 320d......

Five tester 320d cars available from BMW Cyberjaya 5-10K on the clock, price 235K....interested astroboy? The 2009 testers sold out already. I bought my own pre-reg 0km 320d for about the same money end-December last year. I think we can all see that the diesels are holding their value, aren't they?

Hi FIRZ! You save 10K on fuel costs alone annually if you get the diesel....on top of that, the fun you get from driving it (especially in DS mode :-D!) ...priceless! Two years of your life is still a big chunk of your life FIRZ...get the 320d...do yourself (and your wallet) a favour....drive the 320d for that 2 years. Talk to dzul...he's havin a blast too with his 320d... Ignore the other guys who pretend to own the 325i...and talk too much about something that's not theirs. cklein collecting his 320d soon.

what if diesel is sold at market price, when msia has Euro 4 maybe by 2011. will that RM10K be the same? or better since better fuel? contemplating contemplating
