thanks for smuggling dis lil ol tea lady into the pits... dear XXX! she had fun watching words and numbers on da lil tv screen.... besides making teh o and kopi panas.

saw lotsa ppl like alvin, sithwarrior... and also ppl i once knew there.... but how come i no see jules at all one?? i think jules too busy eyeing the pit girls with the 4 inch heels, tube tops and mini skirts...

Pardon my ignorance but shouldnt Mahaleel Jr.'s Team Proton R3 compete with a Proton iso a Lotus?..or be called Team Lotus instead?
Yes, I know who owns Lotus but that's not the issue.
Anyway, hats off to our "boys" who took part... drivers, pit crew, managers, sponsors, etc...

Thats what I thought initially too...thought they would have used a satria R3 just like Team X1R.

Yup, congrats to the forumers who took part in the race. Tommy Lee's GT3 probably had the loudest exhaust note!! I like!!!!!

Proton entered 3 cars. The Lotus 300RR, 1 Satria Gti and 1 Waja.

One of the Satria GTi drivers was Ivan Khong and Hammond Lai was one of the 3 drivers for the Waja. You might ask who are they? they are 2 of the class winners for the Proton Time Attack Autocross Championship. They were a few more class winners from the championship but this 2 drivers outdrove the rest when Proton had a closed track session to select the drivers for MME.
The Waja 1.6 finished 3rd in Class C, 2 laps behind the class leader. The GTi DNF.

Actually, Proton does not have a car to compete in the Open Category, even the standard Lotus is good for Class A. The Lotus 300RR was initially developed for last year's Japan GT race but never made it to the starting grid. But it did good by winning last year's MME. They did it again this year.

Yes, that was the one-off Lotus which is wider and longer, fitted with a racing spec Swindon 3.0l V6 engine.

Fab, was it Ivan Kong or Ian Kong? Thought it was Ian Kong that won one of the SSO categories in his Swift and not Ivan Kong........

Alvin - the Porsche sound was.......i think illegal as it would have exceeded any noise regulations. To those who had no ear plugs n sitting on the "wall" - i dun know how u all survived......

It's Ivan, the elder Khong brothers. He enters SSO with his suburu mah... Saw him at the Proton Pit resting... Another forummer was there too, 1+2=3...

wow , suprise to heard so many forummers in the race 2 , me also in the race with the GTI for class B , wat a dramatic MME this year , my car having few mechanical problems n when everything came back to normal , then start raining ...

although finish the race but not rili satify with that ... BTW which pit and car number u all in ?
me in pit 5 , RED RACING MOTORSPORT ...

Aiyah, you should have brought along an instrument to measure the decibel level and then lodge a complaint........oops, I forgot MM is driving the Porsche

So this year did anyone drive wearing a kart or mechanic suit?

Red Racing, I recall seeing the car..

A lot can happen in 12 hours, to finish the endurance speaks a lot for reliability and determination for the teams. Our pit-mate with the other Toyota was first in class C for quite a while before they had to pit to change the wheel hub which costs them 20 laps.

We were keeping fingers and toes crossed as our car was running with a 3 wheel-nuts front wheel too... It lasted the race... phew.... Glad that it's over now..

ya , fabian .. u r rite .. no one can predict wat will happen in the race .. i m lucky to finish 3rd trouble free last year . But this year .. we lost our lucky star ..

when the race end .. thats mean another race is coming

Ya, if I did that via B&J Sound Pressure Meter.....habis my stay in Malaysia.....it was painful ok, not nice at least to my ears! The Lambo if it ran would have been different!

We made sure our drivers all wear full nomex suit for this event - our own SAFETY is all we cared for......

I was in pit 12 we were the only 2 Toyotas in entire grid. Mine was black and the only one with no other stickers than the one's provided by SIC... ...but we finished 10th..

Sadly team X1R who was doing really well D&F due to mechanical problems and a crash. The guys cars was doing damn well. they were 15th placing overall and 3rd in our class when the darn yellow Lotus whacked us on the straights. The car was quite a wreck. It was sad sad day for us. But it was great to meet Fabiyan, Ah Lian, Alvin and XXX and yes XXX you're my sifu too.

Alvin - No worries about the coffee mate.
