i thk better comments on the photo itself & i believe albundy is learning photogrphy.

overall composition looks ok, avoid cutting bodyprts like pic #3, no colour consistancy in all photo. which WB did u use?

p/s: i know this is not photo forum this can avoid me become a member :D lol

Used Auto WB. It is not easy to get color consistency as the location has plenty of mixed lighting. Then again, shooting at events have plenty of limitation.

First is getting the perfect spot (tough luck). Secondly, is trying to capture the "perfect moment". For instance #3, I got a few where her whole body was in frame, but the lighting and model's expression weren't up to par, in my opinion. So despite the chopped fingers, I'd like that picture very much :)

Anyway, good comments from you.:)

Cheers

Heheh.... hmm I think I ought to take a few nice pics of my car... need some eye candy to sweeten the image though... think she can do the trick ;)

AlBundy,
U da man! Great shots! 2 thumbs up
Err... the flash u bounce up to ceiling? or u use bounce card? or diffuser? :D

Hi Pion,

The ceiling is painted black and its pretty high so no chance of bouncing it. Moreover with the mixed lighting conditions, it is better to zoom in the flash to over power the mixed lighting. With the new SB900, you can literally set the zoom to 200mm and that is something I find to be extremely useful in shooting events.

On top of that, I used a CTO (Correct To Orange) color gel to give a little more warmth. The SB900 has the new cool feature that senses the type of color gel fitted and relay the information to the camera body (only for D700 and D3) so that the proper WB is deployed.

Cheers

p/s last night was the finals. Will load up pictures later!

AlBundy... i bet the sb900 cost a lot :D

... waiting for yr other pics... quick quick...

Just took a peek at your pics, Bundy ... great stuff :top:

Under such an uncontrolled environment ie. inconsistent lighting & lots of movement, IMHO these are as good as it gets with any catwalk shoot.

Also 80-200 rocks ... awesome resolution :top:
