I do know how sugar distribution works... heh. I am in the logistics industry and thats how i know bout your story bout the sugar shortage... talking with my peers at the local round table.

What the man on the street doesnt know is why there is a sugar shortage and whom is actually responsible for it. (Read what adliz posted) I am only correcting a misperception of what has actually happened.

No worries :)

Cheers

You know thats true it all started at the local round table with my buddies and there was no sugar in the place and thats when one of us slammed CSR and another buddy told us the part bout how he was handling shipment of sugar to other countries when we were suffering drinking unsweetened drinks!

Well your story kind of comfirm his story but two story still doesn't confirm it as truth.

I love stories like these but i do take it with a grain of salt due to how this type of stories get filtered down.

Cheers:)

Since you are in the logistics industry, you should know why sugar shortages only happened in a few states (*hint*). It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that out :)

Exactly how he based his story on... hmm? Maybe there is some truth since its so similiar the two story.

You! making me wonder now tempted to dig further maybe later at round table talks will discuss further! but its old news though...:)

Yeah, its old news already. But I think its good the man on the street is informed whom is the culprit. As I said, I heard it from the horse's mouth, not some mamak chit chat.

Anyway back to topic. :)

Perhaps you can enlighten us what you know before i tell you how I know. You are sounding like politikus who rubbished everything he doesnt like to hear.

It doesnt matter, people can choose to believe in what they want to as long as they are given the full information. They can always choose to rubbish things or otherwise. :)

Well said Al Bundy... sometimes its tough to get the message across. by the way I too heard of the same bull shite about CSR not giving a toss about local supply. True or not is left to be seen

Back to topic...

Another batch of Dato's rampant in malaysia which i believe is the lowest amongst all dato's are the big shot proxies... Hell they are just nominated in the board of directors in place of their real proxy and they are given datoship to complete the farce. These so called dato's are just fronts for the real power players.

In spite of, I personally don't mind being one as they are usually paid well so what the heck right??

Hard to get? What about that fella from Banting who was gunned down in Sakura? Apparently he hardly spoke a work of BM or even English.........allegedly ;)

Transparency??? Man, you are asking for too much!!! :p hahaha

It would be interesting to see how many people holding datuk/tan sri titles are :

1. Not from the civil service/armed forces (presently or formerly)
2. Not attached to any political parties
3. Does not own shares in any PLC or hold a top management post in any PLC/MNC
4. Not from the entertainment/fashion/sporting world

I would like to see the common people who dedicate their lives to better others' lives get recognised, the people who run orphanages, old folks home, do charity work, or even inventors.

Well said!

In a nutshell, people should get datukships for making their state proud by contributing tremendously towards its community, development hence growth, pride, dignity and sovereignity.

Regards,

Shuks

It's always difficult to determine the true stories. Sometimes even people working in the company would not know the real truth. They know part of the stories and deduce or theorise the rest of the story. Then, the story got past around and soon theories became truths.

No point talking too much about it in the open unless we can do something about it. Else it'll just remain as coffee talk. Then again, this is bolehland. Ridiculous theories can sometimes be the truth also.. ;) It'll take a lot to clean up the messes.

At the meantime, just chill and enjoy your teh tarik talk. but be considerate when sharing that online. Maybe some of u with such insightful information should start a blogspot... Can even earn money by placing ads there... ;)

i am chill...not a problem anyway. Agreed certain point with you fabian, but if you don't know what happened or truth inside your own house....hmmm that disaster bro.:D . Chill.

Cheers...i am not a smart @@s

My tea lady also been with the company for twelve years and she doesnt know what's happening too :)

Ya my driver also always behave like they are smart @@S too.. not only you in this world bro:)

If these Malaysians got their Datukship's for making Malaysia proud - Malek for swimming the English Channel, Azahar for sailing round the world, Michelle for acting, Jimmy for making shoes....then dont you think Nicol should get one too for her achievements in World Squash?

What an achievement....to retain her World crown and also remain as the number 1 ranking player in the World.

Was her match telecast live on TV or Astro???

This is the type of "Malaysia Boleh" spirit we all want to be associated with and be proud of....not for the other reasons lately!

No la bro...I am not smart but neither do I simply rubbished what others said without offering a differing opinion/explanation. Thats certainly stupid to say the least.:D
