anybody want to run the experiment?....and keep us posted on the result and finding. :D

have been using michelin energy tyres for years because it is smooth and no noise.

as for fuel economy, tyre pressure is more important.

This is nothing new. Lightweight tyres reduces rolling resistance, simple physics. High end tyres have always had this characteristic, Michelin just using this for a mid range tyre.

I think this technology has been around for quite some time. Basically all tires that are manufactured with some silica compound will have less rolling resistance. Its just now with the escalating fuel prices, they are using this one of their marketing strategies. It wont be long before other tire manufacturers come out with some statistics to support their claims :)

Btw, whether it lowers your fuel consumption or not, Michelin tires are great value for the $$$ and highly recommended :)

Just curious, does Malaysia have any websites of tire wholesaler or retailer that put prices of their tires online?
I'm trying to shop for tires in either a 205/55/15 or 195/55/15 size.

zed4, i m using 205/55/15. It's michellin MXV8 with GreenX tech. It will cost you about 400 per piece. Yes, it's ridiculous price. But this is an odd size tire.

for 195/55/15, you will either go with preceda. The other size for e30 is 195/60/15 which there is the Michellin XM1. That will cost you about RM 220
