Maintanence Schedule for Oil Change ( Engine/ATF/Gearbox etc) any advice

bro!Anyone got a maintenance schedule for oil change in E60-not the Bavaria schedule lah....which is way to stressful for the car ( including those engine oil, gearbox, ATF etc.....) Do advice on the service interval for change, and how much it roughly cost that would be great.cheer man!cooperman:rock:

I didn't know there's such a thing le?! I thought most of the things in BMW is "LifeTime"?! Which include coolant, ATF, axle oil, power steering oil and I think brake oil too...

Just change engine oil and oil filter at every lit of service light which is about every 25k km traveled..

the SA at one of AB branch told me the following...

Engine Oil - 10k to 12k km - about rm600 to 700
Trans Oil - 80k km - about rm1800 (with built-in oil filter on oil pan changed)
Brake Oil - 1 year / 50k km - no idea on the costs yet

power steering and coolant didn't ask...hehe

I usually flush my radiator and add new coolant every service interval. But I drive a E36 la, so gotta be more careful with this kinda stuff and just change regularly since the engine is old already.

I agree esp on the trans oil.... initially I refuse to change this since it is lifetime .. I did ask many AB SC and they told me do not change. However, I felt little bit jerk in gear change during brake light stopping ie from 2-1. After changed, I did not experience this anymore. BUT make sure you use the original trans oil from AB.

Actually outside is about RM50/liter as compared to AB which is about RM100/liter but someone told be the one supplied by AB is premium grade vs outside a standard grade (low quality) even both are 6HP.

Can someone confirm this?

You sure is about RM 50/ liter? i've done mine at RM 65/liter...

use the SHELL Flushing everytime u change the engine oil...it cost Rm26 at shell station....will clean out all ur engine dust before pour the new engine oil...
