rear bumper we have in frp...the best replica u can find in the market. the bumper comes with bumper bracket which other low quality fibreglass bumper dun have.

I've seen the kit today and I would say is value for money. Too bad goin back 2morrow. However still not sure of getting fibre for rear bumper??

Marco,

Any chance of having PP/PU rear bumper in future?? I would wait if there is possibility.

I've gone with the original M-tech package. This kit consist of everything and cost maybe 3 times the replica.

This is what I can say about the OEM and replica which I have seen in detail:

1) Original: Grill is M-tech (with a T-bar). Not M5 grill! so be aware when u buy. M5 part grill u have to buy separate. There is no such thing as a M5 kit, only M-tech. Everyone's selling the same thing.

2) M5 grills has no brake duct connections. It is blank off. M-tech bracke ducts does connect to the grill. Brack ducts on the replica are not connected to the grill but air passage is clear. use cable-tie ma.

3) All trim piece on the ori are removable. On the replica some are not. Replica is one piece molding .So if you want to leave some trim in black , painting will be a bit more difficult.

4) The quality of material of original BMW and replica are almost the same for the front bumper. The rear is poorer on the replica.

5) rear boot spoiler and side mouldings are seperate cost. Replica spoiler are high quality here especially from Motorsport Division. why bother ori for the spoiler. cost 3x more.

It was quite a bit of money to spend but I went the original route as for the long term if I broke a single trim or part like the grill or fog lamp lens or something, at least I can go back and order that single item from the stockist rather than a whole bumper.

it's your money and your car, choice is yours.

bro wc9922....can you pm me the total amount you spent? and where you went to get it done?

Is there any way I can get an ori e34 body kit? M5 or any.. I heard its like finding gold nowadays?

don nowadays gold also very ez to find at some beaches maaaaahhhhhhh.............happy finding don corleon

Like I said, it cost 3 times more than the replica. What do u need?
I fixed it myself, mate. Paint is is for the paintshop boys.

Fellow members & forumers.....

Happy New Year 2008!!!

For those of you still looking for M5 front bumpers, hope this is good news to you.

I just got a M5 front bumpers of PP material together with a pair of fog lamps including installation at RM1550-00. Paint job costs extra RM300-00. Price valid while stock last. I hear that once old stock is cleared new price will be slightly more expensive.

Food for your thoughts.....
