how stealthy the stock intercooler is..virtually invisible behind the front bumper..

the Stett is more "in your face" looking..snugs tightly right behind the front bumper..hmm was thinking should I spray the fmic to matt black to maintain the stealth looks..or hyper silver to make it more "garang"...wonder if the paint coating will affect the cooling...probably minor...

i believe upgrading the fmic is a good investment made as not only it increases hp n torque by providing cooler air n hence more condensed air per cubic volume, but also noticed immediately after the fmic upgrade the engine operating temp becomes lower from previously 110C~115C to around ~105C.

i think it's quite important especially for the n54 engine since this gives more room for spirited driving/rempits as the oil takes longer to overheat which triggers the limp mode.

*the oil temp also depends on the type and brand of engine oils used. in my case still using the same oil before and after fmic upgrade.

did some preventive maintenance to ensure the car is in excellent condition before starting on other "investments"..sent the car for gearbox oil change, replaced the gbox oil sump/filter, sleeve etc...car feels much smoother during gear change and driving experience feels much lighter too..

before the performance upgrades..kaki got ithcy again to change new rims...was poisoned with this rims design even before getting the 335i...19" VMR VB3...almost same design as Forgestar F14...

Basically, a turbo impeller rotational speed is mostly limited by the exzos back pressure within the system. If one could eliminate some/most of this exhaust back pressure, the turbo should be able to spool much faster n less restriction resulting in quicker engine response n increased HP.

The reason I chose the AR downpipes is because it claimed to be the only TRUE 3" catless downpipes currently on the market with 3" tubing throughout until cat-back flange, with the least amount of bends possible. That is quite an upgrade compared to the factory diameter of 2.50" (other aftermarket DP's ranges from 2.75" to 2.50" in diameter).

After installing the AR dp I have felt a faster, more powerful and more responsive engine because the turbo impeller now has the ability to spool much faster, apart from an intoxicating and erotic sound of my exhaust  AR claimed that typical gains from this downpipe (with tuning) is around 30bhp range.

already installed all the mods bro..didn't have chance to do dyno one by one...also been on maggie diet for a few months now...no more budget for dyno sessions hehe..

Installed ///M5 Illuminated Gearknob..for shorter shift feel hehe..love the kontot-ness

special thanks to Maxxsp, InitialM, Bailey, Vixx and Awe :top:

SB, with this mod - does the button to shift between gears still work?

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk

Bro, nope there's no more button to press to shift gears. Just simply pull n push the knob. With our stock gear knob we can also actually push n pull the gear without pressing the button. Come join the round n kontot club! :4:

Installation works, took only 15 minutes from a trusty n experienced mech.

Felt car is more aggressive and power is endless on Map 2..surprisingly much smoother than my previous JB4..

what is power without control..

hence upgraded my suspension to KW V2 and of course the anti-roll bar to thicker Eibach ARBs (red colour)..

with the new found power, felt the car slightly slides under hard braking..with great power comes great responsibility...

decided to upgrade the front n rear brakes to Zimmerman Performance Cross Drilled Rotors and Hawks HPS Performance Brake Pads...can't afford brembos so painted the calipers with VHT Red paint and stick on some Brembo decals hehe...call me cheesy but the huge stock calipers does provide the bbk look...also changed the brake lines to a set of Goodridge Stainless Steel brakelines to eliminate the spongy feeling from stock rubber lines..
