There have been many discussions on watches so there's this event coming up which I thought it be good to share with you. For the first time in Malaysia, Jaeger-LeCoultre is celebrating its 175th anniversary in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. In order to share its passion for time in a very exclusive and unique way, Jaeger-LeCoultre will boast an exhibition of its heritage, organize a Master Class and gem setting class. I have managed to get special admission privileges for BMW car owners for this one of a lifetime experience. You will have the opportunity to get closer to the watchmaking craftmanship and learn more about the brand and history it provides. From 30July to August 3rd, 2008, Jaeger LeCoultre will be pleased to welcome you from 10h00 until 18h00 Pavillon - Bintang Circle, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. Simply present your BMW Club membership card or flash your BMW car keys for admission. I also encourage you to join the Jaeger LeCoulte Le Club membership which contains a wealth of information on fine watches as well as allowing them to have a record of you so you may be invited for their future events. I have done it and it's been very rewarding over the years. BTW, membership is FREE too! To join, go to http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/ , click Asia/English and then the Welcome to Le Club membership link!

Like I stated before..the more difficult to pronounce the Brand the more expensive it should be....sounds expensive to me.

Yah yah yah... And I'm hearing this from someone who's been talking about Franck Muellers.

Actually, the Jaeger LeCoultre watches look expensive, the design is first rate, distinctive to the minute detail but I have learnt they are not that terribly expensive i.e. can even go below RM10k.

Anyways, you need to see for yourself. Hope you have joined Le Club.

Any discount or 0% promotion? ......(counting monies in pocket)

Yes, I believe there will be. At the last exhibition, there was a good deal on Zenith watches but I was slow in deciding. Anyways, I wanted to get the watch the night the exhibition closed but they had sealed and air freight it back to Switzerland. I found out from a friend in Zurich a year later that the model is now a collection item going for 3 times the price I was offered in KL. I tried to pull strings with my contacts in Cortina and Sincere but the deal was one off for the exhibition only.

i always like watches & this time i have chance to see swiss expencive watch but don't have the budget to buy jaeger.plan to start with tissot automatic.

Anyone want to buy a classic Cartier Cougar? 18K gold... Only 20 were made... I have one of them...

Thanks JPB for this very informative website abt JLC. It's a wonderful watch brand. Hope to drop by and if there's a good deal I may go for it.

JPB, thanks for the info. I may just drop by to look see look see. I like Jaeger-LeCoultre watches. One of the top 5 or 10 watch makers. However, I am eyeing a IWC Portuguese or a Panerai as I already have an equivalent classic watch similar to JLC
