It's not expensive to repair the rims but it's very inconvenient and time consuming because you have to remove the rims, replace with a temporary rim, let them fix it then switch it back again I had the same problem on one of my rim even though I'm a very careful driver.

Yes it's not too expensive, but twice repair is twice the cost! Can get me a nice seafood dinner....lol! And yes, the inconvenience! Although both times, they need not dismantle my tyre to fix it, I had to travel and get a friend's help to fetch me for the day.

TIancI...I saw this in one of the thread. But in the end the person who had this fixed advised against it when this thing broke on the road and cause some dent on his car. Huhu.

Been following the topic and guess what, just kerbed my beloved style 68 rims last Fri while parking! Its the first time I drove the UDM to work (always using my old Jap workhorse).

Albeit it's a minor one (tiny dents), still gotta get it fixed at Heap Soon. Can't bear looking at the rim like that.

That's why I am reluctant to swap my rims. Later real heartache la. Just waiting to find time to powder coat my 193s to gloss black.

This is indeed one of the headaches of the car drivers. I also agree that its all not the total fault of kerbs or rims, but its also the fault of drivers and then if this thing happens to the rims twice or thrice then there is no way out except to spend the money and change the rims.
