Ha! Name one insurance company. Hmmmm that will be difficult because it does not really matter which one you chooses as long as you know the right people i.e claims manager, GM etc. If you know them, you can get your car repaired in less than 4 days when normally it will take a month. Free towing are pretty common nowadays. If the insurance dont provide the repairer will put it in the claims. Either way, owner dont have to pay.
Anyway, from my experience. I think
Takaful Ikhlas is pretty professional. They focuses on customer service and rather new in the market. They are working very closely with AB (as of last year). Plus they are bound by some takaful rule which emphasis on islamic way of doing things (so more ethical I think).
Pan Global is not bad considering they are the first who give installment for insurance premium and roadtax. Very agressive in CustomerRelation. Their people actually called the owner just to find out how happy he is after the he collected his car from the workshop
Uni.Asia is quite like by the repairer for paying them rather fast and dont simply slash the claims without any reason given. Very efficient claims department.
Pacific and Orient (P&O) is sadly unprofessional. Dealt with a lady once when i made a windscreen claim. Treated me like s**i. If I am in front of her, I would have slap her already. Apparently everyone in the office is aware of her bad attitude. A disgrace to the company
Aviva is also quite like by the repairer for being a good pay master and reasonable in approving claims. This is very important because you do not want used/taiwan parts for your car dont you.
Nevertheless, no matter how good is the ins company, we ourselves must be demanding i.e pay surprise visit to workshop, ask for approved parts list from the insurance etc. Btw, do you know that some insurance actually provide an
online interface for the car owner to check the repair process themselves! Takaful Ikhlas did this. Go to
RepairTracker to take look. Every owner will be provided with the login details via SMS when the claims is submitted. The owner then login to view images, percentage complete and even printout the approval letter from the comfort of your own home!!
All for the rest, I cant say much as to me they dont "stand out" from the crowd.
