well, first of all - the driver who mowed down the bystanders were NOT racing. So you make your own judgement that "illegal racing" is the killer or simply a reckless driver himself.....
if he was blinded by all that wheelspin smoke - he should have STOPPED until visibility cleared. And what on earth was he doing being so close until the smoke was blinding him?
Maybe he was the organiser? Well, drive safely all of you.
Hey, imagine if the Gurney driver snow sprayers blinded the car driver by coating his windscreen and he panicked and mowed down spectators.....scary and yes, can possibily happen.

I guess then the headlines should be "Incompetent driver blinded by illegal race mows down 8 spectators." All drivers should anticipate illegal races and a bunch of spectators round the corner when they see some smoke on the road. Man, I'll avoid smokey roads from now on dude. Guess I'm stuck without wheels when smog season kicks in. :106:
