use a heater gun (or high wattage hair dryer) to soften the adheasive, then peel off. remove excess glue with wax/cleaner..

use wd40, spray on it leave for abt 30secs and then wipe it off with cloth dont use tissue...after remnants of sticker gone wash area with car shampoo concentrating just on that area...dry it and if need to just give the area a polish...some say can use lighter fluid but never tried...or go to ace hardware or any reputable hardware store and buy 'Goo Gone'

WD40 or Silicon Spray (same company with wd40) shud do the job... spray on the sticker and let it soak.. then try to peel it off gently...

Goo gone oso can but it maybe a little strong...
Not sure if nail polish remover can do the job or not, it has mild alcohol content too...

Yes dear we know, what we are telling you to do is for the removal of the remnants of the sticker...

All adhesive materials are having more or less the same hydrocarbon bondage molecules, which is an organic substance originated from crude oil.. that's why WD40 will work but I still find WD40 is too corrosive, even though less corrosive compared to petrol, or the ciggy lighter fuel, or nail polish removal (this very corrosive, its a mild kind of paint thinner).

Going back to the source, what is the less corrosive among all crude oil products and yet, liquid enough to soak in and breakdown the adhesive materials? Soap (palm oil product) will work but too mild... soap is more suitable at a later stage for cleaning up.. :p

I find engine oil works fine! rub it on, give it a message to rub it in, the goo will come out easily and slipperily, use your hand because body heat will help acting like an enzyme to the process ... :D then only bring out the soap, wax later.

But I guess it is too late by now. You all should have applied soap water on the surface/the spot where you want to paste those stickers first. Peeling off later would be easier then.

The root of the problem was that this is a paper sticker which isn't the right material to stick on car... Exposure to natural elements (sun, heat, rain) makes it difficult to peel.. No problem if use vinyl stickers..

Wow...these stickers been giving me a migraine. The paper sticker yes, but suprisingly the sticker with the Number, when i pulled it off, some of my paintwork came off!!! Sent it in this afternoon for remedial works.... I enjoyed the Hunt, undoubtedly, but there seem to be some residual effects...oh well, we learn.....

I saw somebody's car I think climenta if I'm not mistaken only peeling off the ends off the sticker and pasting it..brilliant idea!

I also peel off the sides leaving about 1 inch of sticky surface to stick on the car..
No issue with the peeling off the vinyl stickers, only have issues with the paper stickers..

Itu budak experience la! :listen:

That's what usually racers I know do.. they just remove about an inch of adhesive protector from the edge, leaving the central section remain protected, maybe a patch here and there in the middle. So when peeling, headache reduce to only an inch.. :D

Too bad I don't have experience with stickers, my last car that's heavily with stickers, more than Lightning McQueen, was total lost.. :p

You can use either:
1. Label remover spray - available in most hardware stores, or
2. Zippo lighter fliud
Put or spray a small amount on the affected area and let it soak for 5 minutes, use a cloath
to slowly wipe off the adhesives. Repeat the process until the area is clean.

Next time, I would suggest that you guys use 'removable adhesive' when ordering this
car stickers for this purpose as it will not leave any residual on your car when removed
later on.

Cheers
