My goodness!!! For this to happen to a 38......it would take alot!!! Bottom line, slow down in the rain and drive defensively. No one ever gets away on a wet surface when things go wrong
tyres are the most important thing apart from brakes... no point having powerful engine if the brakes can't stop the car faster than it can go... and no point having power brakes if the tyres can't hold the road... So do check on your tyres more regularly...
I was told that the driver came out of the car to check the damage, he was unable to move it to the hard shoulder then. Then this dump truck came hurtling towards the E38 and smashed into it. Apparently the dump truck was speeding and didn't apply brakes in time. Feels rather odd when you actually are able to notice an obstacle in your way and just fail to make any instantaneous effort to avoid it. Then again, the dump truck did flip over on its side...
Thank goodness there were no passengers around that time.
